Chapter 3: The completion of the first quest.

Today is my 25th day since coming to this world that I still know nothing about.

It's early morning and i'm lying down practising the words from my quest while waiting for that god damn ding that pop ups.

*Ding* *long sigh that indicates how irritated I am* I keep practising words like start up and death but they sound more like a baby now then like a dead dog from before.

I finish my physical exercise and receive the same rewards as usual and keep practising my words for another 5 hours.

I think that my tenacity has gotten increased enough to make me not give up and finish the quest earlier then the time limit.

Mid word practice mother comes into my room to feed me and I shut my mouth as quickly as possible since I don't want her to hear me practising words.

She feeds me for 10 minutes before taking me out of my room for the first time.

The hall was absolutely breathtaking and was lined with rad carpet on the floor and paintings of people who looked like Kings and Queens.

"Let's go on a little adventure Joel." Mother said quietly.

She started moving through the hall and onto a stone spiral stair case which had red carpet on the floor again.

We reached the bottom and passed several maids who bowed whenever mother and I passed.

We made our way to a hall that at the end of it had a door that was not as nice as all the others as we passed by the rooms of all my siblings but Lucy.

I could tell whose was whose since they were named. We walked to the end of another hall saw the plain wooden door with a sign saying her name on it.

Mother knocked gently three times before asking if she could come in.

"Mother if you are here to ridicule me again on how i'm a failure then please leave." Lucy responded to mothers knocking.

With that one sentence my entire attitude flipped. I begun to cry and reach for Lucy's door while staring intently at it.

Lucy heard my wailing and rushed to open the door. I saw her face and the dried makeup around her eyes which had been moved due to her crying.

I stopped crying and held out my hands towards her.

"I came to apologise Lucy, it's just that your siblings said that you were taking their stuff and I believed them. I'm sorry for not trusting you." Mother said apologetically. Her apology did sound sincere but routine as well.

"It's fine you can come in." She welcomed us in and my eyes began to sparkle.

Lucy's room was the epitome of perfection and shone vibrantly with lots of different colours unlike her door.

Lucy saw me and took me out of mothers arms. She put me against her chest and sat down on the bed.

Once everything had settled down and I was in her arms I began to fall asleep. Lucy and mother noticed this and allowed for me to sleep with her for the night.

Lucy's eyes showed she was happy as mother saw them and smiled gently. Mother left the room and I fell asleep completely.

I awoke the next morning to find myself coddled up in Lucy's arms while she was sleeping. I woke her up and she dropped me off in my crib after an hour of extra sleep.

The screen popped up and I completed my tasks once again. I heard something strange as I was practising words from outside my room. The maids and mother were in a hurry to collect me.

I was scooped up by mother and changed from my pyjamas to some clothes befitting a royal that were not too big or small but just perfect.

When mother took me into a room that I could only guess to be the dining hall I saw a race that was only drawn about in manga or anime. Elf's. There were 12 Elves sitting around a long rectangular dinner table.

There were the two adults elf's with pointy ears and white with green hair for the man and white with gold hair for the woman. There were seven kids that aged the exact same as my family all of them except one had hair with those two colours. There was an elf baby among the children who had the same facial features as Alice and I found that suspicious.

We were sat down on our mothers laps while everyone was talking. Me and the girl were staring at each other and we both instantly recognised each other 'Alice', 'Joel' we thought simultaneously.

The parents looked intently at the babies and noticed they were staring at each other. They then both began to brag that their child had only cried twice and that was only when they really wanted something and were baffled that they were not only the same age but had the same behaviour as well.

"This is very interesting indeed!" The Elf King spoke.

"Hahaha, I agree with you there as well." My father agreed.

"Now back to the main issue at hand." The elf King said to my father.

"Ah yes, The idea to connect the Humans and Elf's land in an attempt to encourage other races to join and become one. I completely agree." Father said.

"I believe in order to do this transition then we must do it slowly, how about we both send merchants over to each others Kingdoms and allow adventurers to cross the borders as long as they have an official guild ID card, Royalty should be allowed to travel between as well I presume?" The elf King suggested to father.

"I completely agree, as expected of my best friend!" My father cheered along with the Elf King who they both had good relations with.

"I do think that we should add something to that proposal as well." Father stated.

"Hoh, please tell." The elf King said with his interest piqued.

"I believe that we should flatten the mountain ranges to make it a place for new joint dukedoms to emerge?" My father suggested.

"Genius, I love it!" The Elf King said as he and father both sculled their rum.

The meeting continued for another 5 or 6 hours and we all left the hall. I couldn't help but smile as I now could rest properly at night because I knew Alice was safe.

Time flew by and it is now the 31st day since my reincarnation in this world along with Alice.

*Ding* That sound never gets any less annoying does it. I thought to myself. I completed the task and was given the usual rewards but since this was the last day something unexpected happened.

My body once again felt that sensation as if it were getting stronger but this time my body was forcefully moved into a crawling positing and information flooded into my brain.

My body felt like it had been crawling for years as I crawled around my cot. *Ding*

'WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED, I feel like I've done this before. Well that was a surprise, so I really need to complete that Language quest, *sigh* better get to it.'
