The God Of Fear (chapter five)

The weeks fly by, I continue with my daily routine, until the day I've been longing for finally arrives. All of my training, all of the pain I've gone through to make it back, it's finally gonna show. The first meet of the season is a showcase of talent, for the new guys, and the veterans. Each match is carefully examined and broken down to its finest details, it seperates the treasures from the trash. There's a lot of talent here, Chicago has a gritty and powerful wrestling scene to it, the teeth grinding, face smashing, bone breaking action is what draws attention here. This team I have joined is a strong contender here, but the king of this city is obvious, the national contenders, stackton high. Stackton is the best of the best, well funded, with a mix of well scouted talent makes for a deadly combo on the mat, but why should I care, none of them tops the talent I've seen in my time on this mat, except for one man,  Tom dillashaw, now that's talent. He's been the top dog for years in Illinois, and luckily, he's in my class.

I start to warm up for my first match, a freshman like me, yet nobody understands, until my name is called up. A silence hits the crowd as I am the first match, my opponent is called up through the PA system, with a couple cheers he stands on the mat.

My name is called, and a silence comes to the gym, I look to my opponents sidelines, I see mixed reactions of confusion and fear, the crowd is starting to rumble, I step onto the mat, with my devilish grin, I can see right through the boy across from me. I put my thumb up and cross my neck, before getting in my stance.

Three.

Two.

One.

A rush of energy flows through my body, I hit a blast double, except instead of going through, I stand up.

With him on my shoulder, I take a few steps before slamming him to the mat, the boom could be heard across the gym, he's limp, I cover him in my tightest half, and within seconds, the hopes and dreams of the young man on the ground, were crushed.

I look over to his sideline to see dillashaw standing there with that same stone face. I grin in his direction, before leaving the mat
