ANGRY BOSS

After dinner, Anshu has left. I wanted to talk to Veer about lot more things, but for now I want him to rest because he so tired. So, I asked him to go to bed and then went to my room and slept.

Next day morning I woke up and got ready. But I didn't want to go to office leaving Veer, alone at home. And at the same time, it's a very busy day in the office. I've so much work to do and also, it's my first week in office. I cannot afford to take leave. Then I got an idea, I called Anshu.

"Good morning Anshu"

"Good morning sweety, what made you call me early in the morning?"

"Are you free today?"

"I've one meeting to attend and then I'll be free. Why do you have any work?"

"No, I'm busy today and Veer will be alone. So, I thought if you're free, you can give company to him. Maybe you can take him out for lunch. Will you please do this for me? I don't have anyone other than you. Please"

"Hey it's okay. You don't have to say please so many times. After meeting, I'll go home and then see what to do next."

"Thank you, thank you so much. I owe you for that."

"It's okay. Now I've to go, I'll call you later. And tell Veer that I'll be coming."

"Yeah sure. Bye"

And then went downstairs. Veer hasn't come down yet. So, I took his coffee and went to his room. When I entered his room, he was combing his hair. I think he bathed just now.

I said, "Good morning Veer."

He replied, "Good morning Misti." I then handed him his coffee. We sat down drinking and then went down for breakfast. During breakfast I told Veer that Anshu will come home to give him company. He refused saying that it's not needed and he'll be fine. But even I'm equally stubborn and not going to listen any of his stupid protests. And he had to agree to whatever I say. But he put up a condition that I should let him drop me at my office.

After breakfast, we started for my office. We soon reached my office, I got down the car and Veer has also come out and hugged me. I said bye and turned to go, I saw Arjun standing there and looking at us. I wished him Good Morning and he just nodded slightly and went in.

I was sitting in my cabin and doing my work, then suddenly my manager walked in. I was shocked seeing him come to my cabin. I had no idea why he has come. I immediately stood up and asked, "Sir, do you need anything?" He replied, "I gave you a file yesterday, to keep with you. I need that one, so came to take that."

I said, "You could have called me sir, I would have bought it to your cabin." He replied, "It's okay, just give me the file." I was searching for the file, I heard him saying, "How are you now?" I stopped searching and looked at him I also realized that I haven't thanked him after yesterday's incident. So, after a minute said, "I'm fine sir and thank you for yesterday." He replied, "It's okay, but why did you faint seeing that person. He said he's your best friend. If he's your best friend then why did you faint seeing him"

I replied, "He didn't know that I'm working here, so when I saw him standing outside, I was very shocked. And I don't know what happened after that. Yesterday I didn't eat lunch, may be that is also one of the reasons."

He said, "Then why did you skip your lunch. Can't you be careful, what if something happened to you. How could I face Mr. Saxena?"

I got angry hearing him. So, he was concerned about dad and not me. I said, "You don't have to worry about him. You're not answerable if anything happens to me"

He replied, "Are you insane? I'm not worried about him; I was worried for you. And please take care of yourself. If not for yourself, take care for me and don't skip your meals. As long as you're here, you're my responsibility."

I replied, "You don't have to take my responsibility. I can take care of myself. And for your knowledge, I'm telling you, now I've my friend with me. So, even if I don't take care of myself, he'll surely take care of me and you don't have to worry."

He replied, "Of course he'll take care. I've already seen it in the morning. Why am I even bothering, you do whatever you want to. Just give me the damn file"

I turned and looked for the file and found it. I handed it to him and he left my cabin angrily. How dare he shout on me. Then my phone started ringing, I looked at it and saw Veer calling me.

I answered the call

"Why did you call me?"

"What happened Misti? Why are you so angry?"

"I'm okay. But tell me why did you call me?"

"Anshu has come just now. We decided we'll go to restaurant nearby your office, so that you can also join us and then go back to office after lunch. When is your lunch time?"

"My lunch time is after 1 hour."

"Cool then we'll start after 20 minutes. I'll call you once we come there"

"Okay Veer, I'll inform Jack too"

Then I continued doing my work. Veer has called me just now and told me that they have arrived and will order the food. I saw the time, there's still 15 minutes for our lunch time. I've decided to wind up my work. Just then, my intercom rang and my manager has asked me to come to his cabin.

I went to his cabin and asked him why did he call me. He wanted me to write a letter while he dictates it.

I sat down and started writing the letter. I was busy writing the letter that I didn't recognise when it was lunch time. My phone started ringing, it was Veer. I cut the call seeing my manager glaring at me. Then after 2 minutes it started ringing again. I looked at my manager and he gestured me to answer, so I answered the call. And in my clumsiness I put it on speaker. And Veer started speaking.

"Misti what is taking you so long. Anshu and me are waiting for you since 15 minutes and Jack told me that you haven't come out yet."

I put off the speaker and spoke to him.

"Veer I'll you back. I think I'll be late, you guys carry on."

And cut the call. Then I looked at my manager, he said, "Are you going somewhere?"

I nodded my head and said, "Yes, I thought of going out for lunch. But I guess, I'll not be able to make it."

He said, "It's okay, you can go. We can continue after lunch."

I was shocked with his reply, so asked him again, "Are you sure?"

He replied, "Yes, and anyway it's lunch time. O should have seen the time before calling you."

I said, "It's okay sir. No problem, can I leave now?"

He nodded his head, I said thank you and came out of his cabin and started going towards my cabin. Meanwhile, I called Veer and told him that I'll be there in 10 minutes.

I was about to step out of the office, then I heard someone calling me. So, I turned back. It was my manager who called me. I don't know why he's calling me again when he himself has asked me to leave. I stopped and waited for him to come near me.

He said, "I'm also going out for lunch. Do you want me to drop you?"

I was shocked when he said that he'll drop me. But I don't want to go with him, so I said, "Thank you sir, but I've my driver waiting for me. So can I go now"

I left when he nodded his head. When I came out, Jack was already waiting for me. I immediately sat down and he drove me to the restaurant.

When I got down from the car, I saw my manager entering the same restaurant.

But I didn't want to think about him, so what if he has come to the same restaurant. I shrugged off and walked inside.

I was searching for Veer and Anshu, but I found my manager instead. He was sitting alone, I think he has come alone. So, I went towards him and said, "Sir did you come alone for lunch or waiting for someone?"

He was startled hearing my voice, he looked at me and said, "I've come alone for lunch Ms. Dhrithi. And I think you forgot that I've asked you to call me Arjun outside our office."

I replied, "Okay Arjun, then why don't you join us for lunch. And it's Dhrithi for you"
