GROWING FRIENDSHIP

It's been two months, since Veer and Anshu started dating. Two months, since Anshu's birthday and Veer's proposal. Everything is going well now, Veer and Anshu's relation has progressed a lot. The day is not so far when Veer and Anshu will realize that they love each other and should get married. Anshu's family has also been very patient with their relation. And Raj uncle, he's just waiting for his son to say that he wants to get married to the love of his life. My office life has also been great. Emma has become a good friend of mine. And Arjun has been very co-operative with me. He's helping me to learn all the aspects required for business. He assigns me all sorts of work, from all other departments too, so that I can learn everything and it will help me when I start my own business. On dad's insistance I've started attending official meetings from last week, but no one knows that I'm their Boss's daughter yet. Dad just informed that I'll be attending the meetings on his behalf and also all other important meetings.

In between mom called me once from dad's phone without his knowledge, but I didn't speak to her and cut the call immediately. She did not stop there, after all that happened she gave my number to Nikhil. He tried calling me and texting me, but I blocked him. Like they say, we realise people's value when we lose them, he must have also realised it but it's too late now. It's no use to cry for already spilled beans. But I must say, Arjun has been great support to me. Since Anshu and Veer's relation is just blossoming, I didn't want him to get worried. So, when I felt anxious because of Nikhil, I shared it with Arjun instead of Veer. He really helped me out in those situations. Usually Veer used to take care of me in those situations whenever I felt anxious or a bit lost. But with Arjun, I didn't not miss Veer. He took care of me very well and I was fine with him.

Later, when I informed Veer about all these things, he was very angry that I didn't tell him anything. But later when I explained him and told him that Arjun was there with me, he was at peace. But still he was mad at me for 2 days. Later when Arjun spoke to him he understood and made peace with it. Yet he had an another condition that I should go to Arjun if I cant go to him. What surprised me was that there wasn't even a bit of jealousy in Veer's eyes. Maybe that's because he trusted Arjun with me. Usually Veer don't trust anyone when it comes to me, but I wonder what he saw in Arjun that he trusts him. But that's a good sign, that he isn't jealous, so I'm happy.

And coming to Dad, he said that he's going to come next week along with Raj uncle and would stay here for a week. I'm so looking forward for it. Dad told me not to tell Veer that they're coming, because they want to surprise us. Actually it was supposed to be secret to me too, but it kind of spilled out of his mouth. So, I knew that they both are coming to visit us.

Today I have to attend one more meeting. Today's meeting is with all department heads, and they're going to discuss about upcoming projects. I'm so nervous, because Arjun asked me go through the project and give my inputs in the meeting. It's all new to me, but it's going easy with Arjun's help. I wonder sometimes how Arjun's behaviour has changed towards me. Yes, he still doesn't appreciate my work, but now he doesn't act cold towards me like he used to do in my early days. What I like the most is he doesn't mix our personal life and professional life. During office hours, he acts like boss to me. And during break times he behaves normally. The other thing that changed is that earlier he used make me do works related to my department, but now he assigns me all kind of jobs which he feel that is essential for me to learn.

Arjun said that he has something important to talk to me, and asked me to wait after the office hours, so that we can go out somewhere and talk freely. So right now, I'm trying to finish my work, so that we can go out and not make him wait for me.

After an hour, I finished my work and just leaned back to my seat. That's when Arjun has come to my cabin, he smiled seeing at and said, "Done with your work?" I smiled back and said, "Yep, can we leave after five minutes please. I'm tired already" He got worried and said, "Are you not well? Is everything okay?"

I smiled at his concern and said, "I'm perfectly fine, just a little bit tired. I'll be fine after five minutes. So, can we leave after five minutes?" He replied, "Okay, then I need to make a call. I'll finish that and come back." He left my cabin after me nodding my head for that.

I just rested my head on my work table and slowly my eyes got closed.

I woke up suddenly, when I heard my phone ringing. It was Veer, I then saw Arjun sitting opposite to me and looking at me. I answered the call and told him that I'm with Arjun and will come back with him. He said that he's going out with Anshu and might return late in the night. I said him to go and enjoy and I'll be fine. Then I looked at time, it's already past 30 minutes after our working hours. I said to Arjun, "Why did you not wake me?" He smiled and said, "You was looking so peaceful and I didn't have it me to wake you up. So, I stayed silent and watched you sleeping so peacefully. You looked so cute while sleeping." And I blushed at that comment.
