04 : Disappointment

"You look like you're in a good mood," Faith commented as he saw Dave, her little brother, went out of his room singing.

"Am I that obvious?" Dave questioned while walking downstairs with his big sister.

"Yes and it's gross please stop grinning."

Dave touch his cheeks with his bare hands, " I thought I hide it well."

"You sucks, got a girlfriend?" Faith interviewed sitting on the chair in the kitchen.

The lad do the same, "No and don't mind asking, I wont tell you no matter what."

"It's more obvious you're hiding someone special because of what you said," said Faith with a wrying smile.

The two stop talking as their mom went inside the kitchen. Their usual breakfast start. A silent and suffocating breakfast. No one dare to speak and just focus on their food. It feels like the kitchen is empty. After a couple of minute Dave's mom stand up creating a rumble noise indicating there is still someone inside the kitchen.

"Hurry, finish your food. I'll be waiting in the car," Their mom said full of authority as she spoke.

"Yes mom."

The two sigh in harmony as soon as their mom left the room. His sister gave him a meaningful look. He knew well what it is without spilling the words.

After a long ride they finally arrive at the school. They stop at his sister's university school on the way here.

"Let's go."

"No mom. I need to do some errand, you go first."

"Okay."

With that thought, Dave walk to the entrance humming. But, the cheerful mood didn't last long as a exhausted Leo rush towards him.

"Pres," Leo breathe a little before he continued his sentence

"Steve and Franz are fighting in the gate."

---

"If you can't follow the rules you better go home." Steve said for the third time.

"I told you I didn't know. Can't you understand, you dumb?" Franz, a schoolmate of Steve and in the same grade as him, sarcastically said.

"Are you nuts? You've been going in this school for 4 years already, how can you not know about the rules?"

"You dare talk to me nerd-

Franz grab his necktie, about to punch him when a deep voice of a man spoke.

"What's the commotion here?" Due to its deep and full of authority voice the students watching the scene move away.

And there is the president of the student council with a cold, serious face. The two met each other's eyes.

No one dare to answer making Dave more annoyed, "What's the violation?"

"Ah," Steve said hesitating.

Dave raise his left eyebrow and cross his arm, impatient to hear the answer.

"Improper uniform and also he left his ID."

"It's just an ID, you're making a big deal of it. You're making fuss for just a small thing because you're a student council member nerdie-

"You said it's just a small thing? So you don't mind extend this to the office?"

Dave cut off and walked toward them.

"This is my last warning to you, Franz. Break one rule again and I'll make sure you'll be suspended."

"What are ya all still doing here? Class' about to start, stop wasting your time to gossip." Steve shouted.

The circle of students begins to fade 'til there's only Franz, Dave, and Steve left.

"What are you still doing here? Go home get your ID." Dave shushed while waving his hand.
