--(Back in the Office space)--
Tom was sitting peacefully on his desk with his feet kicked up as another entity entered the office.
The newest visitor was a woman with 13 red fox-tails with white tips swaying behind her and along with a set of fox ears resting on top her head. Taking a closer look at her features, she was tall with a heart-shaped face and beautiful features along with a voluptuous body.
Tom's previous laidback position abruptly morphed into one of stern duty as he stood up and bowed. "What can I do for you my Lady?" He asked politely while retaining his bow.
The fox-lady said nothing and continued to sit down as she motioned for him to sit down.
She pursed her lips slightly as she formulated what she was going to say, "How did the reincarnation of 'her' go along? Did it go well?" She asked slightly anxiously.
Tom rubbed his nose, "Yeah 'her' reincarnation went along well. She's currently in the world of 'Danmachi,' and," he paused while taking a look at his screen, "She is currently sleeping in a pile of leaves," he finished with a small bark of laughter.
The fox-lady giggled slightly before smiling, "That sounds like 'her'... what was her previous reincarnation like?" she asked.
Tom proceeded to type away on his computer before pulling up a couple of files, "She was an average person and she lived her life normally.. as a male," He said with a snort.
The fox-lady however was not amused and changed the topic, "Did you temporarily wipe her memories like I asked?" She asked in a stern tone causing Tom to freeze slightly.
Tom scratched the back of his head, "Yeah, she'll get a portion of her... original reincarnation's memories for every milestone in power she reaches. Do you need to me to do anything else my Lady?" Tom asked nervously.
The fox-lady nodded her head, "Yes, give her this." she said as she snapped her fingers causing a wave of information to blast Tom's mind. "Can't have 'her' dying on me.. again," she said as Tom recovered from his headache.
"Yes my Lady," he curtly responded before looking back at the screen watching Lilith and sent the gift from his Master to her. "It is done my Lady," he said while looking away from the screen.
"Good," she shortly replied as she began to walk back out of the office.
Tom's stern attitude dissipated slightly as he laid back in his chair while heaving a sigh.
--(The Forest)--
[*Ding*]
A bell-like sound rung inside of Lilith's head. 'Huh, who's there!' the half-asleep fox thought while groggily raising her head. Once she fully opened her half-closed eyes she saw a notification in front of her.
[Magic Guide for Dummies (you), Kitsune Magic Mutations Guide, have been added to Inventory]
Lilith stared at the notification for a few seconds before huffing, 'Could've let me sleep a lil' longer,' she mentally whined as the leaf's around her fell of her back.
She stretched her tired body as she clicked on the 'Magic Guide for Dummies' book she was given.
Instead of a book appearing like she thought, a tidal wave of information slammed against her brain.
Hissing slightly from the shock, she endured the mind-numbing migraine assaulting her mind.
After a few minutes the pain lessened to a bearable degree as Lilith sorted through the new information.
'Magic requires visualization, will, and a source of energy to fuel the creation/manipulation process. Visualization is the projection of the creator's imagination that shapes the spell, will is the strength forced into the spell, and the source of energy.. is well the source of energy.' Lilith summarized.
Stretching once again to shake off the numbness, Lilith began to walk through the forest in the search for food.
The branches and twigs of nearby shrubbery slid across her fur as she attempted to find any small prey.
Stumbling into a small clearing, a singular rabbit was sitting directly in the middle.
'It's a trap,' Lilith instantly concluded.
The rabbit stood frozen as it's fur bristled in an unnatural way. Lilith visualized a pin sized ice needle and shot it towards the 'rabbit'.
Instead of hitting it's head like she intended, it hit the front-left paw as the rabbit fell over stiffly from the impact.
As soon as the rabbit hit the ground three short, green and ugly figures walked smiled viscously as they walked out from behind the trees.
Lilith's fight or flight reflex activated as she slowly backed away from the three creatures and made her escape.
'I'll find something else to eat.. stupid goblins,' Lilith grumbled as she quietly retreated and continued her search for different prey.
...
Lilith was slightly dissatisfied with her gains as she looked down at two dead squirrels. She quickly devoured the two dead creatures as she began to create some ice-flowers to adapt to using magic.
After a few minutes of continuous magic usage, a painful pit formed in her stomach from magic depletion.
'Energy Absorption' Lilith thought as the residue magic in the environment rushed to the small fox frantically.
A cooling sensation bloomed whenever she felt her mana rise quickly. 'Feels kind of like an AC,' Lilith offhandingly thought while already craving the comfort of a modern home.
As Lilith was enjoying herself, a scout party of three goblins spotted her.
Lilith's fur bristled in alarm as her eyes shot open to see the three goblins holding their crude stone weapons.
Lilith's mind whirled as she began to think of how to dispatch of them. Using the safest option, she created a three ice needles and shot them towards the three.
The goblins however only got scraped slightly as they dodged the ice needles purely off instinct.
'Shit.' Lilith thought as she broke out in a cold sweat.
