Back inside the car, Henry noticed the curious gazes of the crowd.
"Did you really bring us a low-key car?"
Henry couldn't help but ask Patrick when he saw several women approach the car and take pictures beside it.
"Uh... Yes? This car is pretty low-key in the capital..." Patrick hesitantly answered.
"Do you know where we are?" Henry asked once more.
"Er... We're in the countryside, the City of Dalaget." Patrick replied.
Henry blinked his eyes as he stared at Patrick.
"Did I do something wrong, sir?" Patrick nervously asked. The person in front of him was someone that he could never offend. If he did so, then his career would be basically over and his life might also be forfeit.
"Nope... It's just I didn't expect that you have such a way of thinking." Henry predicted that Patrick must be using the capital as the baseline whenever he was with him.
Well, it was expected since Henry was a person of authority and position that only cars popular in the capital could possibly be worthy for a man like him.
"Change this car into a Toyota Corolla."
"A Toyota Corolla, sir?" Patrick asked in doubt.
"Oh?" Henry raised an eyebrow, "Are you underestimating the reliability of Toyota Corollas?"
"N-No, sir..." Patrick immediately cowered, "I'll go and get us one."
"Good." Henry nodded his head and a smile couldn't help but appear on his lips. Back when he was in that country, he had a Toyota Corolla.
It was a car that he grew fond of the most due to the fact that even though it suffered a lot, it still managed to survive until Henry left the country for good.
Patrick returned after only ten minutes. Henry got into the new car and the smile on his face deepened feeling the familiar sensation of the seat and the fresh smell of something new.
"I'll go and drive for us. Hop in."
"A-All right..." Patrick nodded his head like chicken pecking rice before he sat in the passenger's seat.
The car engine started and Henry picked up the pace. Afraid that he might say something wrong, Patrick kept his quiet, and silence reigned over the entire trip until Henry broke it with a question.
"What you would do if you were in my place, Patrick?"
"S-S-Sir?" Patrick was startled by the sudden question and it took him a few seconds to recover from his trance. A serious look appeared on his face as he replied, "I would be careful in my approach. I would probably not reveal my identity to them this early, since how could I expect them to accept everything so easily?"
"Good answer." Henry smiled, "Oh, we've arrived."
The car stopped at the curbside and both men got out of the car.
They were now in the middle of the city's commerce. Tall buildings and skyscrapers could be seen as far as one's eye could see. But Henry's true intentions for coming to this place was in the Baylon Realty company building. Henry didn't specifically choose this place for no reason.
He intentionally came here because his wife was working in this real estate company.
"Come with me." Both men went inside the building and they were immediately greeted by a salesperson. It was a lady in her mid-twenties, her clothes greatly emphasized her good figure but Henry didn't even spare her a glance. He walked straight to a woman standing behind one of the model houses and properties.
"Sir...?" The saleswoman who had approached Henry and Patrick the moment they walked inside the building was left alone.
Astonished, she looked over to Christine in envy. Why did these two men didn't even spare me a glance? Is it because I'm not as beautiful as her? Damn it, little did they know that she's a bitch that's already a single mother. Hmmph! Talk about being an ingrate!
The saleswoman sized up Henry and Patrick before she glanced over at the car where they came from—it was a Toyota Corolla. A car that was at the bottom rung when compared to the usual clients that the saleswoman had over the course of a week.
They might be handsome, but I guarantee that they are penniless! She yelled out in her heart as she consoled herself.
Henry and Patrick walked over to Christine.
"Hello, sir. How may I help you?" Christine was overjoyed when she noticed that these customers walked straight up to her, "Are you looking for a house property? If that's the case, then we have models here that you can choose from. We also offer in-house financing for properties below 250 thousand dollars."
The smile on Christine's face was refreshing and gorgeous.
She knew that she had to handle this well.
As a newbie in this company, Henry and Patrick would be the third and fourth clients that she had entertained since she joined this company a few months ago.
Furthermore, on top of the base pay, the salesperson who managed to close the deal with a client would get a percentage of the deal.
This was why Christine had to do everything that she could to secure this upcoming deal.
"Sir?" Christine raised her head and stared at Henry. She couldn't help but feel that he was somewhat familiar... Have we met before? Christine thought in her heart, but she soon shook her head. What a joke, it has been five years since she explored the world for leisure.
How could she meet a guy that was as handsome as Henry?
"N-Nothing..." Henry felt his throat run dry.
He hadn't expected his wife to be so beautiful.
Christine was wearing a navy-blue uniform for a salesperson in Baylon Realty.
The color of the uniform against her pale skin stood out and not only that, but she was also exuding an aura of gentleness and elegance that did not detract from her sex appeal. Paired with the polite smile on her face, she was indeed elegant and gorgeous.
Henry finally recovered from his trance, "Do you have any land properties available near Dalaget National Elementary School? I heard there are a lot of unprivileged children in that school and I would love to establish a place where they can get cheap and nutritious food."
"The price doesn't matter. I can handle it. I just want you to negotiate everything for me. I'll give you a twenty-percent commission."
Henry's voice wasn't particularly loud, but the saleswoman who was waiting for Christine's disappointment had been eavesdropping this whole time. The moment Henry's words fell, she almost stumbled onto the floor in shock.
A twenty-percent commission?!
How generous!
The saleswoman's eyes shone in greed. She had been an employee of this company for five years now and considering her experience. One could say that she was a senior of everyone here.
Taking a deep breath, she moved closer to Christine, "Move over, Christine. The negotiations for the land properties near Dalaget National Elementary School requires a written request that will be directly given to the government..."
"That is something that you cannot handle given your experience."
"Leave it to me."
Patrick furrowed his eyebrows.
A look of panic appeared on Christine's expression.
She stared at the saleswoman in disbelief.
"Sister Rose... I..."
"What? Are you saying that you can successfully close this deal?"
Rose stared mockingly at Christine.
Christine looked frightened.
She wanted to be the salesperson for this deal so badly, so she could earn that commission.
But considering that she was still a newbie, the company might kick her out of the company if she fought against Rose for this deal. However, if she didn't fight for this deal, she would miss out on potentially—tens of thousands of dollars when this deal was completed.
Rose saw the hesitation on Christine's face and her expression hardened, "Scram!"
"Wait..." Henry finally spoke up.
Rose stared at Henry in embarrassment, "Sir, I apologize for this disturbance. I'll be sure to train and discipline our employees more."
"That's not it." Henry stared coldly at Rose before he glanced at Christine, "I want her to complete this deal with me."
Rose's expression changed, "But sir... She doesn't have enough experience when it comes to writing request letters to the government..."
"How about I handle the deal for us? If I'm the one that's going to write the request letter, then I will surely succeed! I have catered to at least a dozen clients with the same circumstances as you, so I should be able to successfully seal the deal for your convenience!"
Rose stuck her chests out as she desperately marketed herself.
The commission of twenty-percent was just too huge of an opportunity to pass.
She couldn't possibly miss out on such a good deal.
But...
Henry's gaze remained cold.
"Are we in a circus?"
"N-No... sir?" Rose replied in doubt.
"Then, why are you acting like a clown?"
