Since the silence was turning awkward and was not helping her flee this place, Soo-Ah thought she should appeal to the audience. Her verses had a way of touching their hearts.

Lifting her head, she turned to face them. With pleading eyes but a steady and confident voice, she recited,

"When one burns too bright

One needs to dim the light

Before the fuel runs dry

And darkness comes to find them drowned in a spoon of doubt."

As expected, a round of applause erupted across the room once more. She thanked them with a smile and hoped at least one of them would get the meaning of her words and come to her aid.
