As the gates opened and the people of Avalon filled the gardens where seats had been set out for them they found themselves in awe at the beauty of the place. No one but the royals had seen the gardens for years, yet it was so beautiful. Flowers of all colors grew around them, birds danced across the sky above and the air was warm and peaceful. Three seats were placed at the top of the stairs that led up to a balcony that oversaw the beautiful city of Apollonia. Chatter amongst the people quickly grew hush as horns played over in a musical harmony to announce the arrival of the new Royal House.
"I bring you, Damian of House Morningstar. First of his name." Out stepped a gorgeous, tall and pale man dressed in a black mantle. His pitch black hair was slicked back, showing his angular face which was decorated elegantly in dark eyeshadow that made his blood red eyes pop. He had two piercings on either side of his bottom lip, and wore a wedding band. He smiled at the crowd as he stood before them.
"I bring you, Lucaya Morningstar. First of her name." Out stepped a short, petite young thing. Long black hair draped behind her elegantly as she walked down in a short black and grey dress and black heeled boots. Her eyes, like Damians, covered in dark eyeshadow and liner to accent her blood red eyes. Her lips were painted in black, and she too had two piercings on either side if her bottom lip. She gracefully stepped down to stand alongside her father.
"I bring you, Lucifer Morningstar. First of his name." Trailing shortly behind his sister Lucaya, a handsome young man dressed similarly to Damian. His eyes the same as theirs, he stepped down to stand beside them. The crowd waited in silence to see if anyone else would be announced, but instead the Archbishop came down to begin the ceremony. The three seated in their designated chairs.
"Do you, Damian Morningstar, swear in the view of the Gods, and the view of the people of Avalon, to remain fair in judgement, do good for the people, and lead them to glory?"
"I do."
"Then I declare you, Damian Morningstar, first of his name, King of Avalon, and ruler of the six cities." The Archbishop placed the jewled golden Kings crown on Damians head. "And I declare you, Lucaya Morningstar, first of her name, Princess and heir of Avalon." He placed a delicate silver tiara on her head. "And lastly, I declare you, Lucifer Morningstar, first of his name, Prince of Avalon." He placed a silver crown on his head. "People of Avalon, I give you your new Royal House, House Morningstar! Arise, my King, Princess and Prince!"
As they rose together, the cheering of the crowd was quickly turned to screams of terror. The earth shook, toppling people and chairs. Lucaya and Lucifer fell to their knees with Damian protectively standing over them. When the shaking had stopped, a gust of wind took everyone's breath away. Suddenly the humans in the crowd were turning into magical species. As they all looked around to see if it was safe, if anyone was hurt, their eyes fell on the Morningstars. Gasps held in the air, as they saw their new royal family were horned, winged, and had tails and scales of dragons.
"Father?" Lucifer looked up at Damian who hushed him. He helped his children to their feet and looked to his people. "People of Avalon, we will deal with this together. I promise you, under mine and my men's watch no blood will be shed - Not mortal or magical. The Morningstar era will be a peaceful one. Those of you affected by new changes, please see my personal friend, the Archbishops daughter Artemis Aldrin." He set his pale hand on a white haired woman standing beside the steps nervously in a silver hooded gown. The crowd frantically gathered around Artemis as Damian gently patted her back. "You got this."
"Before you leave Apollonia, tonight I highly encourage you all to attend a Ball with a feast held inside the castle tonight. We can speak more on the findings of magical conditions, and we can discuss the new Barons and Baronesses of the five cities outside of Apollonia." Damian said, before leading his children inside the castle to prepare for the night.
