SONIA'S POV
The car ride with Lucian was far from quiet. He was chatty, indulging me in endless small talk that I had no interest in.
His charm, though evident, did nothing to stir me. He wasn’t my kind of man. Dario was. Dario was dangerous, calculated, and ruthlessly commanding. He was the kind of man who exuded power and made women surrender without a second thought.
Lucian? Sure, he was easy on the eyes, but he didn’t carry the same air of dominance. Dario wasn’t just a man; he was the man. My man. Or at least, he would be soon. It didn’t matter that he was tangled up with Katy—my own sister. I wanted him, and I wasn’t one to back down from something—or someone—I wanted.
As the sleek black Benz came to a stop, I pulled myself from my thoughts. We were in front of a sprawling mansion, its lights glowing like a beacon in the night. The size of the estate was as intimidating as it was beautiful. This had to be Hugo’s place.
