Crashing back to reality

I look around, seeing my first date with heather, the long night I spent studying, and I know the downfall of my life. The loss against the Destroyer, my fall into drug use, I even see me losing my faith. All the visions seem so real, so vivid like I was reliving them. I walk through them to Oracle and asks, “Why do I see all of this.” He looks at all the memories, and something in him clicks because he perks up. “They show you doing things you want.”

I look out over the sea of memories, but I don’t see it. I look back at Oracle, and he continues, “every memory here is of a time you took a chance on yourself. Suppose it's fighting for your friends or asking her out. This ability of yours is how we can win. You just got to believe in yourself.” Hearing him say that we have a chance to bring down the being that’s ruined my life makes me smile. I look at him. “Let's go.” Oracle places his hands on my head, pulling us back to the little room we were in before.
