We look up at The Destroyer amid this circle of men. I glance over at Singe. “Get out of here, we need to make sure their safe Singe takes off, and to my surprise, the men don’t move. This can only mean he’s confident of his victory. Hopefully, it can be used to my advantage. I stand tall ready to face the man who took everything from me. I take three steps and grab at the destroyer. He slides by me, hitting me in the side with his cane.
I take in the blow, but it feels wrong like it isn’t from this world. The impact pushes me aside, throwing me into the shields. As soon as I hit them, I feel my powers fail. The sudden loss makes me wince in pain. Rolling away from the wall, I come up trying to make something the shit situation. He swings, and I duck, but he hits me with a knee to the face. I pull back, but I don’t go down. I try to make sure not to hit shields, and he stops to speak. “Well, I don’t want to drag this out anymore.”
