Chapter 12: Love and Heartbreak

Yeosang didn't hesitate to grab the nearest weapon that was in his reach once he heard what his sister answered to his question. Every officer immediately held Yeosang down and tried to get the weapon out of his hand before any damage was done to the ship or crew mates. Meanwhile everyone else was in complete shock hearing the news themselves of Kiyeon and Felix. Chan didn't let this drama go any further as he walked over to Felix with the other older members of StrayKids to get away from everyone and talk. Mingi, Jongho and San did the same with Yeosang to calm down.

With everyone gone, it just leaves Kiyeon with Hongjoong, Yunho and now Seonghwa in the captain's office.

Hongjoong let out a deep sigh before facing Kiyeon. "I don't even know how to react to this honestly. You should know that StrayKids will go their own way again once everything is cleared up. Why would you start a relationship with someone you know is gonna leave?" Hongjoong leaned back into his chair while rubbing his eyes a bit, soon to look back at Kiyeon.

"It's just.. you know, kinda happened while me and Wooyoung were on that island… I'm sorry...I never meant for all of this to go this far.." She didn't have the courage to look at the other three in the room with her as her embarrassment took over.

The three eldest in the room exchanged glances with each other before Seonghwa spoke up. "Well we're you safe?" Seonghwa asks while looking back at her, earning a nod as a response.

"Well that's good. It is bad enough that we have to listen to San and Wooyoung, but the fact that you are Yeosang's sister makes us all more concerned for you. And kinda uncomfortable." Yunho gave a little chuckle as he tries to lighten up the mood for the others.

"It doesn't matter. It is less worrisome with San and Wooyoung but you took the chance of getting pregnant Kia. I don't want to risk that, especially when we are planning to be away from some safer parts of the sea for who knows how long." Hongjoong states in a deeper tone.

"Actually…" Kiyeon says softly, shying back a bit but was not heard by the other three.

"You also just joined this crew not that long ago. I don't want you making any more mistakes like that." Hongjoong carries on, his voice getting louder before getting interrupted.

"I can't get pregnant." Kiyeon was able to get the courage to speak above the elder, looking back at him immediately.

A dark heavy silence surrounded the room of the four. Hongjoong opens his mouth to continue speaking before Seonghwa places his hand on his shoulder, slightly shaking his head. "We are very sorry Kiyeon. We didn't know" He says gently to her to help comfort her.

"It is fine guys. I don't really care anymore… When I was little I got really sick from a bad infection.. The castle doctor told me the only way to save my life was to get rid of my infection. The surgery made it so I couldn't have kids ever in my life." She explains to the others in the room, shrugging her shoulders. "It's not really a big deal for me anymore."

The three nod as they heard her story. "Alright. I sincerely apologize for raising my voice. But, I don't want that kind of stuff happening on my ship, I have explained it so many times to San and Wooyoung. I am tempted to make them sleep in separate rooms at this point." Hongjoong gave a soft chuckle to the others.

Kiyeon's stress lifted from her shoulders as she smiled as well. "I am gonna go talk to Yeosang and try to make him less mad at me." She says to them all before walking out of the captain's office.

She heads back to the room she and Yeosang have been sharing and goes to knock on the door. She wait's a bit until the door was opened by San. "Can i talk to him right now…?" She asks politely to her friend.

"Well. He is still pretty mad at the moment." San clicks his tongue before nodding his head and opens the door fully for Kiyeon to walk in. She walks in slowly to not make too much noise, soon to see her twin sitting on the bed. San motions the others to get out of the room to let the twins talk, leaving the two siblings alone.

"Yeosang…-" Kiyeon starts to say looking up at her twin.

"Are you kidding me Kiyeon!? One of my best friends, and the fact you never told me this happened!? When did you guys do this...why even!" Yeosang cuts her off as he looks over at her clearly upset at the situation.

"I-It just happened okay!...Oppa please stop yelling and let me explain. You see on the Island me and Felix slowly got closer...and I really feel a connection with him." She says not looking into Yeosangs eyes embarrassed.

"The fact that I JUST got you back...after THREE years of us being separated...and i can already tell you've changed over that time span. You were never like this, where did the innocence of yours go...OH I KNOW WITH FELIX!" He yelled as he stood up.

"WHAT DO EXPECT FROM ME YEOSANG?! that I'd still be that perfect innocent sister? That i will listen to every order you give me? That i would do whatever pleases you?! It has been YEARS, of course I've changed but i'm not the only one. How about you look at yourself in the mirror and see the change you've become!" She says, her voice becoming louder.

"I know that I've changed as well...but that's because i'm protective of you. Who was the one that made sure you were safe, that made sure you never got killed, who made sure you slept peacefully at night? But you decided to leave me again. Do you know how terrified i was when i found out you were missing? The only thoughts that came to my head where you have gotten killed or kidnapped. You left me with no warning. Fuck...i understand you saved Wooyoung at least he is safe but you come back and i find out that you SLEPT with one of my best friends are you kidding?!" He says, raising his voice.

She looks over at him shocked. "I left YOU? I only left to save one of your crew mates. It's not my fault that we ended up on a RANDOM island and found stray Kids. And the fact you decide to blame this all on me saying i left you? Saying you will protect me at all costs? You left me! Years went by and still no word of you coming for me? I thought you were gonna protect me, save me, well where have you been when i was raped on the 3Winds huh!? Where have you been when i was being tortured every single second i was there, NOWHERE! you choose to be part of this pirate crew you know how worried i was for you thinking you could of been dead? The only reason i came to find you was because of this damn stone it kept pulsing for fucking weeks and i was sick and tired of it. You can't blame me for leaving you if you never bothered to try and save me." She says clearly upset as she takes hold of the stone that was hanging around her neck.

He looks at her with no expression. "You're right, it has been years and we both have changed. But when I found out you were coming back here i was hoping to see a familiar face...but no...Your hair is dyed, you have piercings all over, you even know how to use weapons like a pro. You've killed people yourself with your blood stained hands. And now we find out you're a siren?!...you know what I see in front of me Kiyeon...i see someone that was never my sister" he hisses at her.

"WELL WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU EXPECT!? And don't you ever dare bring up what happened at 3winds like that, I live with that guilt every single day Yeosang!" She snaps glaring at him

"I really doubt you were ever put under a spell. I bet that was only an excuse you made up to keep hurting people over there and i bet you loved every seco-" Yeosang starts off with a grin on his face but that quickly changed when he felt a sharp pain on his cheek, courtesy of Kiyeon.

"SHUT UP. JUST SHUT UP! I regret everything I've done every day, there's not one second that I feel at peace! You're my brother, you're supposed to help me with these types of things, to guide me on what to do with this guilt. And now you're upset because I found someone that finally makes me happy? You should be happier because Felix is someone you trust right?" She shouts, pulling her hand away.

"I don't trust anyone around here okay! I never have had any trust in these people in this ship or in any island I've been in. This crew may have saved me and made me feel like I finally had a family but it's still very hard for me to fully trust them with my life. I at least thought of my own sister. Could be someone I trust with me entirely. But it seems like I never had a sister to trust just another outsider coming to get me." He snaps back pushing her away from him.

She stumbles back a bit from the push and takes a moment to regain her balance. She looks up at him, her eyes teary and full of pain. "I… guess you never wanted me as a sister huh...guess i'm just a mistake to you...JUST ANOTHER STRANGER!" She chokes out as she takes off her necklace, throwing it to the ground before quickly leaving the room, running out to the main deck. She ran past several people not caring who saw her in her condition and kept running. She passes by Changbin who was already heading over to Hongjoong and Seonghwas room.

"Kiyeon…are you okay what happened?" Hongjoong says gently as he made his way up to her, being told by Changbin that he saw her running away clearly upset.

She was looking out at the sea as usual trying to calm herself down, tears falling down on her face. She hears Hongjoongs voice and closes her eyes not wanting to talk to anyone. "Please just leave me alone…" she says softly.

He ignores her words and pulls her into a warm embrace trying his best to comfort her. He holds her tightly as he feels her shake in his arms, crying against his chest.

The two stand there in silence for what seems like hours, that is until he feels her pull away gently. The captain looks down at her, his face full of worry. “Can you please tell me what happened? What made you cry this hard?” He asks in a soft tone as he wipes away her tears that continue to fall.

“He hates me...he finds me as though I'm a complete stranger to him...that I never mattered to him in the first place…” she chokes on her words as she continues to cry trying her best to explain.

“Don't say that he is just full of anger and confusion, he is not hearing what is coming out of his own mouth, for all we know it could just be his anger talking. He cares for you and loves you dearly there should be no reason he should be calling you a stranger.” Hongjoong explains in a soft tone then wipes away more tears that kept falling. “You seem really tired, you should get some rest for the day.” The captain could normally be seen as almost aloof to his own crew mates, unsure on how to comfort them in desperate needs. For it was normally Seonghwa who would help them.

She nods trying her best to calm down. After a bit she finally was able to breath properly. “Thank you...for everything.” She says looking up at him before leaning in hugging his waist and resting her head on his chest holding him tightly.

He wraps his arms around her small form gently and nods in response. “Of course Kiyeon..” he whispers to her softly as the two stay holding each other for a good minute before finally pulling away. He pats her head giving her a gentle smile and walks away, passing by Felix.

“Kiyeon...what happened?” Felix asks gently making his way over to her, a look of concern on his face

She tries her best to explain about the argument she had with her brother without tearing up but fails as she chokes on her words. She feels a gentle touch being placed on her cheek as her tears are once again being gently wiped away, but this time by the person she grew closer to and grew to strongly care for.

“I'm so sorry you had to be in that argument...you didn't deserve that Kiyeon.” he says gently. She nods and finally looks up at the boy only to notice a strange look in his eye although he was distracted.

“Is there something on your mind Felix? You seem to be distracted.” she asks, watching him lose eye contact with her and pulling his hand away from her face.

He takes a deep breath making eye contact with her, he scratches the back of his head and chuckles as if he was nervous to tell her something. This only grew her suspicions.

“Felix? What's wrong, you know you can tell me anything right.” she says in a gentle tone as her face grew more concerned for the guy she had grown attached to.

“There is...something that I need to get off my chest,” he says looking into her eyes , she sees his face was full of sadness mixed with guilt...
