"I didn't knew it was something like that!?!?!" Chase yelled.

"this movie is very cool, not gonna lie," I stated.

"it's actually not a movie, it's a series. I think there's still more disks that continues that story line," Kyle replied.

"whatever it is, can I borrow it??" Chase asked. He got on his knees and started to beg.

"calm down dude, of course I'm going to let you borrow it," Kyle replied.

I guess he also loves movies or series about solving mysteries, like murder cases for example. He does have the "title" of a detective, that's what they made up at their past school. I didn't even expect Chase to like this sort of film, I thought his into real life mysteries rather than those made up ones we see on any platform. Though the episode 1 of this series is indeed fascinating, he manage to solve the case of his dead sister, who was apparently killed by his partner from work.

Chase smiled at Kyle "thank you so much!!" he said. I've never seen Chase act like a child begging for something.

"I thought you're into real life mysteries rather than made up ones," I asked.

"it depends if the movie or series manages to caught my attention, then I'll give it a shot," he replied.

"well if they wanted to attract watchers they must at least hook them up on the series starting at episode 1 or 2," Ashley claimed.

"that's true. Well anyways we're going to attend PE class to talk to the other two people we talked about," Chase spoke.

"oh did something came up?" I asked.

"not really, but I think Grant found out something really important," he replied.

"alright let's get going then," I replied.

Something really important huh?!?? I wonder what could it be, is it regarding about what had happened or something about this school. Either way any information would be good, honestly though this has turned into something adventurous rather than studying for our future. Although the teachers didn't say anything about it, maybe this is part of the test? Or maybe not.

Both of us got up, Chase begun to stretch his legs "you two better be good by tomorrow," I spoke.

"see you tomorrow then," Kyle replied.

We started walking towards the door "bye now," Chase spoke and raised his right hand while facing in front of him. We got farther away from their room and rode the elevator.

"hmmmmm??? I was wondering, why did you entered this School???" I asked.

"what a weird question to bring it up. To answer that question, hmmm it's more of an instinct," he replied.

"instinct??? What do you mean?" I asked.

"it's something like this, before I even thought about entering here. I actually didn't know where to go -" the elevator stop, we exited it and proceeded to walked towards the exit -" at that time I didn't care about going to school. Since anyone can get a job nowadays," he stated.

"you're right, so what made you to enter here,"I asked. While we exited the building and headed towards the gymnasium.

"its a long story but I'll make it short, so it was that time of the year. Graduation day, all of us are wearing our casual uniforms. We sang the national anthem, did the ceremony and ended the day by eating at our favorite restaurant. Me, Grant and Stacy decided to have a chit-chat about our future," we walked towards a bending machine and bought some snacks. Still can't believe everything is free. Bought some chips and cracked it open.

We begun to walk again and He continued "they decided to continue going to school and pursue their dreams, while we were waiting for our order and having a chit-chat suddenly there was a robbery at the restaurant. Like any student would do was follow them and get on the ground, my instincts kicked in. I looked at Grant and he already knew what to do, as the two robbers approaches the counter we snuck behind them and have a little fight with them. We stole their guns and pointed it at them. Everyone cheered at us for saving them, heck we even got a free meal because of it. That's when I realize, with my strength and intelligence I could possibly save lives. The cops arrived and arrested the burglars, we ate our food and decided to call it a day, when I got home that's when it really hit me, my mother was diagnosed with a sickness that made her unable to move her legs. As the only son they had I decided to go to this school to get a good paying job since my dad was the only one doing all the work," he explained.

"that's a really long story, but I'm glad you're doing it for yourself and for your family," I replied.

"yeah, I did get a job and have tons of cash before entering this school. I decided to give it to them since I'll be gone for 6 years," he stated.

"you're really generous for someone as cold as ice," I murmured.

"cold?? Well there are times that I went cold. Sometimes I needed to do that in order to comprehend a situation. I'll take that as a compliment then," he replied.

"you're really a strange one," I replied, he look at me and smiled weirdly. Like he seems to be confused on what I said.

"anyways, how about you why did you enter this school??" he asked.

"honestly though my reason is kinda rubbish and simple. I just wanna pursue my dream of being an artist or a lawyer perhaps," I responded.

Hearing his reason to go to this school made me uncomfortable, am I really suited to stay here?? With a shitty simple minded reason I have. It feels like I don't deserve to be here, I'm starting to think I stole someone's opportunity to go here and have a successful life because they have a valid reason to put their efforts to the test.

"are you ok reanna??" he asked.

"o-oh don't worry I'm fine," I replied.

"it seems like you were thinking about something," he responded. Did I really made a sad look, that's why he must have asked.

"it's nothing really.... Tell me Chase, with a simple minded reason like mine deserves to be here??" I asked.

"simple minded?? Is chasing your dream because of your passion a simple minded reason??" he replied.

"well yeah, your reason is more suitable since you're doing this for the ones you loved," I replied.

He put his elbow on to my shoulder "reanna just because its simple doesn't mean you should treat it that way. If you're doing it because you love arts or anything, then that's a valid reason. Pursuing something you love that makes you happy is good," he stated.

"just because it's simple doesn't mean you should treat it that way. I'll definitely remember that. Thanks Chase," I smiled at him.

"you're welcome, in reality do something you love and makes you happy. There will be a time where you will regret it in the future," he stated.

"as wise as ever," I replied.

"we should start running or we will be late -" Chase run as fast as he could -" see you in the gymnasium Reanna!!!" he shouted.

"geez that guy," I sigh and started running, though the gymnasium was near the main school Sprindell high so it would be faster to take a shortcut to the park and parkour my way on the trees to reach the exit, rather than running around the park.

I heard someone's footsteps and they are breathing heavily, I look around and it was Chase "hi!!! Chase," I shouted.

He stopped beside me and tries to catch his breathe "h-how did you get here -" he took a large breath -"before me," he asked.

"oh that's easy I took a shortcut to the park and parkour my way on the trees to get here," I replied and smiled at him.

"I didn't thought of that, I guess you beat me," he replied.

"looks like the both of you made it in time," we heard a girls voice, we looked behind us. It was Grant and Stacy standing at the entrance of the gymnasium. Stacy was waving at us. We walk towards them.

"you look exhausted Chase," Grant spoke.

"I know," Chase replied.

"it seems like you two ran your way over here, guessing Reanna beat you at your own game," Stacy added.

"let's just go in the gymnasium," Chase requested.

We took a sit near the chess players, it was Jack, Zayn and Michael "you look exhausted Chase," Jack spoke.

"we ran to get here. Anyways what do you want to talk about Stacy and Grant," Chase asked.

"first of all its ok if Jack, Michael and Zayn tag along at our investigation right?? Don't worry they are really skilled at sneaking" Grant asked.

"sure!!, that makes us the 10 of us then," Chase replied.

"the second one is, we learned that no teachers will be around the school on weekends. Which makes our investigation easier," Stacy added.

"that's definitely some great news," I replied.

"may I ask, what are we even looking for???" Jack asked.

"something strange???" Chase replied.

"well we should definitely set a goal here. I think the best thing to investigate is the teachers department, since they had a meeting when those strange occurrences was happening," Grant suggested and took a sip out of his chocolate milk.

"that's what we should do first then we should explore this school more. There's still some rooms I didn't saw. Like a library or a chemical lab perhaps," Chase added.

"let's see if there's a hidden passage way as well," Michael requested.

"it is possible for something like that to appear," Grant replied.

"well that's all we need to talk about," Stacy replied.

"we still have our PE time and the coach did said do anything that's related to PE. So wanna play chess with me Grant???" smirk at grant

"I accept," Jack gave a Chess board to grant, it seems like they are already finish with their game.

I'm honestly interested on what's going to happen, battle of the brains. I'm kinda betting on Grant here since I still don't know what can he do so he might appear victorious here. Suddenly Stacy spoke to me.

"hey reanna can you come with me to the bathroom I have to pee," Stacy asked.

"oh sure let's go then," I replied. Looks like I have to wait.

"we're just going to the bathroom really quick," I spoke.
