Wolfsbane town

( Winter's POV )
AS SAD as it may seem, I am silently sitting in the passenger seat staring blankly at the trees we had passed. Us leaving was all of a sudden and I have no choice but to transfer. The fact that I don't have any idea of my new school worries me. I didn't even know that Wolfsbane town exist.
The road is sorrounded with tall trees causing it to shadow the way. I can't see any houses or cabins out here just bunch of trees and sign roads.
Out of my curiosity, a while ago I searched Wolfsbane town on google. It gave me unknown creeps and I wished I didn't let my curiosity win.
This said town is full of legends and tales. Ancient stories that can only be seen on movies and books.
The town is isolated, you can't easily enter Wolfsbane without any valid reasons. They have a rule that at exactly 9:00 in the evening everyone should be at their respective houses. And there was a rumor about the town's people that they were extraordinary creatures.
Like really? Werewolves? Is that for real?
Maybe four hours had passed I can finally see the humongous wooden sign board saying 'welcome to Wolfsbane town'. Thank goodness were here, I can feel my butt aching due to sitting for hours.
"Oh! We're already here" mom gleed happily. She seems so excited while me on the other hand is squeezing my brain for a perfect plan on how to avoid people at my new school.
When we entered the town what I expected was something that looks like in the year 90's or 80's. But I was wrong, very very wrong. The town is so modernize it's like a hidden city.
I can see big malls, a park and it's a huge one, a couple of bookstores, elegant looking coffee shops and many more that I can't even name what's the use of it.
My disapproval for this whole transfer thing lessen just a little tiny bit because of the breathtaking bookstores and coffee shops.
Wolfsbane town should be a city by now judging to it's status. It looks like Manila but smaller and way more fancier. It's full of trees and not polluted like every other cities I know.
Mom took a turn on the left lane and there Harold homes welcomed my sight. My mouth went a jar. Imagine, this town also has a subdivision.
This is totally unexpected.
"Mom are you really sure Wolfsbane's a town?" My eyebrows creasing as I asked her
Smiling she turned her attention at my direction "of course sweety. Why? Don't you like it?"
"No it's not that. You see, this is a town right?"
Mom nodded, amused at my confused look
"Then why does it looks like a city?"
I'm literally confused right now. (Even the author herself is confused of what kind of town your talkin' about. Okay continue) Wolfsbane town is very different from what I've expected it to be.
"I visited here once together with your dad. Trust me my reaction was the same as yours" she laughed a little "but there's a lot of changes here. There!" mom pointed a convenience store "it was full of trees back then" happiness filled her face as mom remembered yesterdays
I only nodded since I have nothing to say. When our car entered the gate's subdivision a guy in his mid fifties wearing a uniform greeted us.
"Good morning ma'am how may I help you?" said the security in the most formal manner
"Good morning to you too, we're the new resider here house no. 0604 northern part"
"May I check your ID ma'am for security purposes?"
"Oh sure" mom answered and held her ID to the security
He took a look and returned the ID "welcome to Harold homes ma'am Jessica" the guard saluted
"Thank you" and mom manuveured the car
"Wow it's so beautiful" I said in awe. I can't stop myself to be amazed after entering our new house.
It's a small conch house big enough for two persons. A masters bedroom that will be owned by mom, one extra room that will be occupied by me, single bathroom with rain shower, a cozy living room, kitchen and a dining room.
It's simple but very beautiful. From the designs to it's structure you won't even regret it, the aura of the house gives me a homey feeling.
One of the things that I liked is the furnitures are already placed, things that are used in the kitchen like ovens and refrigerator and many more is here and ready to use.
It's like a ready to live kind of house. I genuinely love it.
I really hoped the school that'll be transferring will be as good as this place.
