Chapter 15: The crying water

The cloaked mans' breath was heavy. He thought that it wasn't going to be that hard to bring the little girl in. The girl lay faint in his arms. He heavily lifted the girl higher trying his best not to drop her. " Shit you're heavy" he grunted. He stomped through the hallways of the castle avoiding every corner of furniture or piece of the wall that stuck out. A thump hit the window as he passed by it. 'Damned crows.' he sighed. The girl twitched in his arms as if she was having a nightmare. The cloaked man adjusted the girl in his arms making sure she wouldn't jolt out of his arms and onto the ground.

He walked past a room that was left open with a big picture that almost covered all of the walls of the room. The picture had a man with a grin bigger than the sun and a woman of the opposite with children that looked like all they wanted to do instead of taking a picture that day was to play. In the corner of the picture a tiny quote that read, " The great moral."
