Classmate

After that episode at the reception area, they rode in the elevator to the 20th floor and they were led by the receptionist.

She's acting cute in the corner and she would snob at me when we met our gaze, she laughed at her attitude and Jillian didn't know why she would do that to me. She looks like a bimbo with her super thick makeup, she looks like a clown and her very revealing tank top dress that makes her cleavage show and her very short skirt.

She did not mind her and her boss was also ignoring the bimbo so the bimbo stopped acting cute but it was disgusting.

Ting!

We walk out of the elevator at the same time, The receptionist leads us to the meeting room. The whole build has a design of modern and classic style. With a touch of minimalist style and a combination of modern style with simple style. The furniture is not very modern but still trendy. It is simple and has less carving on it. The main color for this style is brown, beige, black, chocolate brown, gray, silver, white, and grayest blue shades.

The receptionist approached a man in black, then the man went in and the receptionist stayed behind. They waited for a few seconds after a man walked out of the meeting room.

"Mr. Avelino nice to meet you" the man greeted while smiling, the man looked like a middle-aged man and he had a white beard and excluding an aura of a veteran.

He reached his hand to shake hands, Mr. Avelino smiled back "Mr. Sanders how are you?"

They exchange their pleasantries, Mr. Sanders lean to her boss and whisper something after Mr. Avelino nodded then they went back inside the meeting room.

The man in black and the receptionist stood still like a soldier side by side after Mr. Sanders went in they bowed. What a strange sight she said in her mind.

She was approached by her smiling boss.

"what is it sir?" she asks while twirling her hair as a sign of boredom.

"Mr. Sanders said the executives are the one who's allowed to go in--" he was abruptly stopped by Jillian.

"You don't need to explain sir," she said.

"Okay that's good, you want to go back to the company or you'll check around?" he asked.

"Maybe I'll check around sir," she said excitedly, it's her first time in the area despite having worked in the city for 3 years so she was excited.

"okay just to make sure you make it back to the company later"

"thank you, sir" Jillian swift walks to the elevator waving at her boss while the door closes, she last seen was her boss's face smiling at her but when the door closed his face turned serious.

He walks into the meeting room and meets Mr. Sanders there when Mr. Avelino appears in the room and they all bow down with respect.

"Young Master"

Jillian was a little grumpy outside, it was so hot and she didn't bring any kind of protection against the sun.

Jillian wanders around the of the building she didn't know where to go so she randomly walks everywhere, the area was a little crowded unlike around their building.

There was a park nearby and a lot of food stalls and commercial buildings, she walked first into the park. The park was a little quiet because there were not usually a lot of student visits there.

But she can see a lot of couples dating there, Jillian finds a seat to sit and appreciate the view and take a photo.

"Jillian?"

Someone called her and she turned her head at the person, a woman came into the view wearing a turtleneck and skirt a gorgeous woman.

Jillian took time to recognize, she was digging from her memories who she was.

"Aren't you?" she unsurely with her finger pointing at the woman and she scrutinized a bit.

The smile she knows Jillian doesn't recognize her so she introduces herself again.

"I'm Joy, you don't remember it? We were classmates in high school!" the woman exclaimed, then Jillian finally remembered her.

"You are Joy Sarmiento? I didn't recognize you" she said. Joy hugged her. They were close in high school but got separated after highschool because Joy went to a different college.

She pouted and immediately hugs Jillian "You didn't contact me after high school"

"Sorry College was super busy" She hugs her back and said "I miss you"

"I missed you too gaga" they let go of the hug and both laughed. "Let's go I will treat you"

In Starbucks, they continued the talk.

Jillian was happy because she met her girlfriend from high school, her face is full of smiles.

"Do you have a boyfriend?" Joy asks teasingly Jillian while poking her hips.

Jillian chuckled and hit Joy's hand.

"No, I don't have one, do you?"

"same!"

They both laugh but Jillian turns serious and Joy notices it then she asks.

"what is it?" she reached out Jillian's hand and held it.

"I have a daughter" she smiled weakly at Joy, she was surprised.

"where's the father?" Joy asked but Jillian didn't answer.

"It's okay Jelly if you don't want to talk about it," Joy said with an assuring smile.

Jillian hugs her "Thank you, Joy"

After that Joy shifted the topic to "where do you work?"

"Ow me? I work at a small company, you? She simply said and asked back.

"Do you know 8th avenue?" She asked to take a sip from her coffee, she ordered a pistachio latte and Jillian ordered Caramel Macchiato she took a sip.

"Yes of course, who didn't know that company?" she looked surprised and smiled awkwardly but she calmly replied and rolled her eyes at Joy.

Joy laughed but she was stopped by her phone ringing.

"speaking of work" she pointed at her phone and picked it up.

"hello--"

"Joy?! Where are you? I'm hungry, pick up my food now!" she pulled away from her phone from her ear.

"Okay! Calm down I have just picked up your food and going back now" she lied to the person on the other side of the line.

After that Joy hung up and picked up her drink.

"I'm sorry Jelly I need to go, let's meet up some time now, let me get your contact" she apologetically said to Jillian.

They exchange their contacts and bid their goodbyes. Now Jillian is alone, walks outside of the store and back to the building where she had a meeting, she went in and sat in the lobby. Thinking about Joy working in that company, Joy didn't know the father of her daughter so she was not worried.

She sighs, she was worried about her daughter. What if she asks about her father, she doesn't know how to answer that question and she didn't think that her daughter asked that for now, she will not think of that.
