Misunderstanding….

It is really easy to find fault. It is easy to blame others when we cannot find a normality in the situation. It is hard to find fault within oneself it is easier to find fault in others. It is easy to hate someone else then to find the right explanation to a problem. What goes wrong is making an innocent suffer. To make the other shoulder the blame might be easier, but it is the worst thing someone can do if the person pointed to be guilty is actually innocent. The next few days went a bit too silent. Things in the office changed there were more people talking about the incident with Cynthia but in more of a hush voice. Alya kept herself busy with the office work which kept her away from the talks. She did not realize that something else was being added to the problem. She was more interested in what Tom would share with her. “ I wonder if he has any news for me?” It is a mystery how Tom would find stories about others in the office. The office environment became very dark. She walk up to the coffee machine to get a cup. She saw a group talking about something Tom was there as well ‘ Should I ask again?’ she shook her head and walked in greeting everyone. The group stopped talking they were looking at her. Tom looked at her and nodded. Alya looked at the coffee and looked at them ‘Is there something on my head?’ She looked at her reflection in the machine. ‘ I think I look alright.’ She quickly took the cup and left. ‘Something happened maybe.’ The week lasted like this people were looking at her and only conversing with her only when required. Since she was busy the previous days she did not notice what was going on. She thought to inquire about it, but Tom seemed to find an excuse to leave the place as soon as she walk in. Helea kept busy with Brian and Megan took a holiday. Things seem a bit problematic. ‘ I have to corner someone to find out what is going on.’ She took a sip of the coffee cup and looked around her , then she looked at the clock on the wall in the office. ‘ Still a long time to go she thought.’ She jumped at the ringing of the phone it was Helea calling, “ Hey!” Helea, “ Sarah meet me in my room.” Alya looked around again, “ Right now?” Helea, “ Quickly please we do not have much time.” Alya moved and walked quickly to her office ‘something must be wrong’ she knocked on the door and entered. Helea was holding her head in her hand and looking at some papers. Alya came forward to the desk and looked at her,” Hey is everything okay? What is so urgent?” Helea, “ Yes I need you to finish filling up all this by tomorrow.” Alya took the paper and looked at it empty forms. “ All right I will be done surely if I start right away.” She sat in front of Helea “ Something is wrong here. This cannot be too urgent, what happened? Can you tell me ?” Helea just shook her head and said nothing, “ I am fine I just have too much work to do.” Alya took the paper from her and set it aside she did not even look at the paper, “ Please stop I am worried about you there is definitely something bothering you really bad. Maybe I can help there must be something I can do.” Helea looked at her, “ It is not something I can share.” Alya leaned back to the chair. “Jeez that is a pain now what should we do to fix this?” She leaned forward putting her chin on the desk “ Is it work related?” Helea shook her head “ Is it Aiden?” She just frowned and looked down. Alya looked at her and “ Are you guys having an argument about something?” Helea, “A disagreement. I do not believe what he is claiming but he does not seem to be someone who is lying.” Alya, “ Than why disagree? You feel that he is honest.” Helea, “ Yes but um what he is believing I think I just know it is wrong I am finding it hard to believe.” Alya, “ Wow this is complicated, I am now getting curious as to what the topic is?” she looked back and sighed “ Helea this seems a very small reason to have an argument if he think he is right why do you not let it go.” Helea, “ What if it is something really serious?” Alya, “ Hey nothing can be that serious to come between both of you.” This made Helea look up at her. She ignored the expression and continued talking closing her eyes “ Besides if he is wrong you can just wait and slowly discuss the reason why he is wrong.” Helea got up her chair slowly walked to Alya. She bend down and hugged her. Alya was surprised on what is happened ‘ What did I do this time? I did not make her sad I hope.’ She thought Helea, “ You know you are a really great person.” She still kept on hugging her. Alya smiled at her patting her back. She stood back up “ I think I will give you some time to think. You should make a temporary true right now and then talk with Aiden.” ‘ I hope they solve their problem they look so cute together it would be sad if they are fighting’ She thought while walking back to her desk. She sat and looked at the file. ‘Sigh this will take such a long time to finish. I better get more coffee’ 4:50pm Alya yawned she looked at the papers in front of her. There is still a lot more left. ‘ I will come early tomorrow I might be able to finish on time then.’ She picked up her bag and walked to the elevator, but luck did not come by her side. The right side one was out of order and the left one was filled, and some people still waited to get in. She looked at the door something made her take the stairs and leave the lift que. One step two step slowly walking down the empty staircase. It had spotlights but they were turned off. There was a yellow orange glow from the big windows in the middle of the staircase. On the way the second-floor attached door opened. Aiden came out Tom was with him. Tom looked at Alya and walked back giving an excuse. Alya looked at the door with her hand half raised. ‘ That was awkward what is going on..?’ but before she could say anything Aiden spoke up. “ What are you doing here?” he frowned at her his eyes were glaring at her. Alya took a step back, “ Huh what else? I am going back home. Is something wrong?” There was silence from the opposite side he looked like he made a sound. ‘tch.’ ‘ Is it because of his quarrel with Helea?’ she scratched her head ‘ Maybe I should leave.’ She thought and proceeded to walk down. Aiden, “ I do not know what you said to Helea to win her trust, but I do not trust you.” Alya stopped in her tracks and turned to face him, “ What are you exactly talking about? .” Aiden, “ You know what I mean, you are hiding something.” He walked closer to her “ You approached Brian for a reason what is it ?” Alya thought ‘What is he talking about ?’ she tried to clarify. “ Wait a moment I am confused here what are you talking about? Did I do something ?” Aiden, “ Stop this act I don’t know for what purpose you approached him in the hospital I do not believe it is an innocent encounter. Cause you would not be here if it was.” Alya’s body shook, “ Hospital hey wait you know about that? Oh no does Brian know?” Aiden, “ It is better that you stay invisible and stop playing all your tricks Miss Greenfield. I will not let my friend fall in trouble again.” He turned his back at Alya’s shocked face, “ It would have been better if you were not here. You better not pull any more tricks I will be watching you.”
