It was her…..

Blank, dark, black all these are instilled in a persons heart as something to fear. Why does the human mind fear all this? It might be for being in a situation where a person can not control. To be in a situation where one can not understand where they are? This confused feeling is one of the reason why Black is feared so much.

7:30am

In a round table six people were sitting and having their breakfast. The atmosphere around the table seemed serious and gloomy. Helea sat beside Aiden they were both looking at Alya. Megan looked scared and shivered. Even Tom looked like he will faint any moment. Only exception was Liam he looked indifferent when Alya recounted what happened yesterday.

Helea, “This is serious Cynthia could have died.”

Megan, “ This person here is dangerous what is the motive behind this?”

Aiden frowned, “ I thought the problem was solved who was the person on the other side of the call? Is it the younger son Twirls again?”

Alya shook her head, “ I do not know I could not even see the face of the girl. She sounded desperate.”

Liam, “ What is bothering me is that you might be in danger this time. Cynthia is safely out of this place.”

Alya bit the corner of her lips looking at the table, “ I do not understand why is this person doing this.? I do not find the motive now. I mean Cynthia is not here and where do I fall in this?”

Liam agreed with her, “ It is still confusing Sarah until we know what is going on. You should be careful.”

Alya had more thoughts in her head, “ Liam there is something we are missing. Mr. Heimlich did not look shocked in the situation.”

Aiden looked like he swallowed a lemon, Helea looked down, Liam shook his head, “ to summarize it we are not totally clear what is it we just have some ideas. You should worry about staying away from trouble spot for now.”

Alya bite her lips corner again she thought, ‘ These people are hiding too much.’ But she nodded and agreed with them.

Tom, “ I do not understand why the rumors were used. Just to steal…” Tom could not finish Liam hit him with the elbow in his stomach.

Alya looked at Tom and thought, ‘ So there is something after all.’

Liam quickly got up from the table pulled Tom with him, “ Look at the time we need to get to the Audi-2 we have a guest today.”

Megan took Alya with her “One of us will stick with you from now on.”

Alya, “ I feel like a baby here.” For the rest of the day. One of them would stick with her. This made it a bit irritating for her. She was hoping to get Tom alone to get facts out of him but somehow Tom has managed to avoid her again. Which confirmed her suspicions. They know more than they are sharing it with her.

‘Ahhhh if you want to keep some one safe you tell them the whole thing not hide it.’ She thought while trying to focus on the person speaking in the stage. This was supposed to be a learning trip but so far it has been more of a confusing trip for her. Helea was sitting beside her taking notes in her laptop. There were a big group of people in this extra class. Everyone looked so serious in the lecture. ‘ I better get a cup of coffee after this my head is not working.’ The class ended she got up and yawned a bit. Helea walked towards Brian to follow him for a meeting. Alya’s gaze followed her. Brian was standing there, ‘What are you hiding from me? What are you involved in?’ She is reminded of the evening before. How he was holding her too close and the elated heartbeat. It was a feeling she had a long time ago. She shook her head ‘Forget about it we made our peace Alya.’

Aiden was standing beside her, “ So what is your next step?”

Alya, “ I do not know. I still want to know how I am connected to all this.”

Aiden, “ You do not have anyone who would want to harm you here right?”

Alya gave a bored look to Aiden, “ The only one I can think of is you. With all the hate inside you.”

Aiden smiled sarcastically, “ The same thing I can say about you. But this time you are more of a victim.”

Alya gave a sigh, “ Aiden I just want to have a normal life. Believe me I want to be least involved in this.”

Aiden, “ That is the very thing which makes you suspicious. I still do not know how you knew about Brian in the hospital.”

Alya blew out and frowned at him impatiently, “ This is silly I was just …” she could not finish it ‘no one would believe it anyway.’ She thought “ Never mind you would not believe me anyway.”

Aiden, “ Well I promised Helea lets get to lunch.”

Alya was boiling with anger, “ I would rather go alone…” but decided to follow him.

They grabbed a piece of sandwich each. Aiden was typing something in his phone. Alya focused on the sandwich she felt really hungry.

“ Someone looks really hungry.” Liam came to sit for lunch. Tom was nowhere to be seen.

‘He is avoiding me again should I hunt him down?’ Alya thought as she took another bite of the sandwich. “ It was a long time and I need my energy.”

Aiden put down his phone, “ Sometimes I do not know how to analyze you Sarah are you really this simple?”

Alya looked at him with a quizzed look, “Where did that come from now? I really do not understand your question.”

Aiden looked pissed, “ You know what I mean. Nobody is that innocent.”

‘ The only thing that is stopping me from punching your teeth out buddy is you love Helea.’ She thought.

Liam, “ Now now, Aiden you are being too harsh with Sarah here.”

Alya calmed down and took a sip from her coffee, “ Aiden I do not have time neither do I have any motive to harm your friend I never did.”

A silence followed after that. Liam tried to break the tensed atmosphere, “ Hey did you taste this donut? It’s really sweet”

Alya looked like a little kid who got a free candy, “ Really I want one.” She took one from his plate. It was sweet with chocolate filling. “ Donut is the best when it has cream fillings.”

Liam shook his head, “ I think custard filling is better.”

Alya looked determined, “ But imagine chocolate icing on top with custard cream.”

Liam, “ Have you tried one with vanilla ice cream filling. It is heavenly.”

Alya nodded fast, “ Yes that is such a treat, but the strawberry jam filling is sooo good.”

Liam, “ Remember the strawberry and cream filling one? That was the topper of all.” Alya nodded in agreement they finally got a best ranking donut among themselves. Aiden looked at them as if he is watching two kids. “ Well you guys can continue I will retire for today.”

Alya looked at her watch, “ Yeah I think I will get up for a nap too.” She took another donut and walked back to the room. She stood in front of her room and put the donut in her mouth pulling the keycard out and got in the room Iliana was sitting on the bed, Lily was not back yet. She waved a hi and put down her bag.

Alya walked to the table to get a tissue, “ How was the session today? Mine was boring.”

There was no answer she looked back to ask again. Iliana was standing really close to her, she took a step back startled, before she could ask anything Iliana hit her with something long and hard. She staggered feeling dizzy and fell on her side. She could see Iliana’s feet walking towards away. A few seconds later two more feet joined her. They looked like a waiters uniform shoes. Alya tried to stay up to see who it was and move but her vision went blank. She still heard whisper, “ Take her quickly before lily arrives.” She recognized it.

‘The voice yesterday was Iliana I wish I had known.’
