In Love With My Professor

We were walking down as he mentioned that there was this beautiful spot nearby where we can watch the fireflies together. His hand was holding onto mine as we walked further down, the woods clearing away as we kept walking. 


We came to a more cleared spot and in the moonlight we saw hundreds of fireflies looking like city lights. It was so beautiful as I walked forward, totally immersed and lost but Kiernan’s hand around mine pulled me back gently as I slowly turned to see him standing on his knees with a leather box in his hand. 


And then I open my eyes to see Kiernan watching me with a mischievous smile on his face. It’s enough to make me blush, “What? Why’re you looking at me like that?” 


“You whispered my name while sleeping.” He says, running his hand on my arms, up and down, leaving goosebumps on his wake. “I love the sound of my name from your mouth.”
