Focusing On The Present For Now

Thea’s point of view-

(A week later)

Walking to my bathroom I take out my phone and plug in my earphones, listening to his voice message that he had sent me for the hundredth time perhaps. He had just vanished in thin air after that. He hasn’t left a single text or voice calls nor any sort of creepy gifts.

“Everything is going to happen in due time, sweetheart. Happy hunting till then.”

He made the assumption that I would go hunting and he was right. From the past few days, besides doing the wedding shopping, preparing a guest list, I also sneaked out to possibly try to find him at the restaurant but in vain, the restaurant had shut down. After a shower I step out wearing shorts with a large shirt and see Kiernan working on the laptop. Lately, I have been trying to avoid talking to him much because I am worried about him.

“Can we talk?” Kiernan asks, turning to look at me.
