A Happy Ending

Thea’s point of view-

(Eight months later)

“KIERNAN, MY WATER BROKE…” I shouted at nine in the morning of 4th July, when I was bringing the cakes. My family and friends came rushing inside, my mom made the call to the hospital while Kiernan held onto my hand and others were scurrying around.

They agreed to send kiernan and my parents to the hospital while the others stayed behind

And most of it was a blur as I heard the sound of an ambulance but it was all very blurry for me. What a day my baby chose to greet the world!

I remember in bits and pieces that I was shouting at poor Kiernan and the doctors asking me to push and after one last push, I heard the sound of crying filling the room…then after that, every single thing felt worth it.

“Congratulations! It’s a baby girl.” The doctor informs us and then the nurse hands her over to me and she immediately stops crying, looking at me with bright honey brown eyes.

“Do you wanna hold her?” I asked Kiernan, who was crying.
