Being FWB with a hot guy isn't that bad... Until someone catches feelings.

Tara is a beautiful, quirky 18 year old in high school just making it through like everyone else.

Brian is an incredibly hot 19 year old who, quite frankly is a player. But when he sets his eye on Tara, no one can deny  the budding romance between them, which eventually turns into an emotional rollercoaster for the both of them.

But hey, it happens... Right?

It Happens

"Is everything packed, cutie?" I nod as I beam up at him. We're actually going to college! Even though CSULB doesn't even take more than 15 minutes to get to from where I live. Julie goes to LBCC now, but we promised to hang out as much as possible. I don't know if that will even happen, but it's worth a try. 


"I would say I'm going to miss you guys, but we live like 10 minutes away and you can visit any time. I won't even get enough time to miss you," my dad says, making us laugh. My mom walks out of the house looking like she's going to cry. 


"So I guess we'll see you guys later," I say. My dad hugs me tightly and gives me a kiss on my forehead. He goes to hug Brian while my mom hugs me. 


"Take good care of her, Brian," she says as she hugs him. 


"I will, I promise." He replies, reassuringly. 


"I'm coming back later anyway, I need my car." 


"Okay. We'll be here." I get in Brian's car and we head off to CSULB.
