Prom

"Are you ready yet, sweetie?" My mom calls from the living room.

"I think so," I call back to her. I take a look at myself in the mirror and enerything seems to be in place. I walk into the living room and Brian turns around and I swear, his eyes just popped out of his sockets.

"Wow, honey, you look beautiful," she beams.

"Oh my God, Tara... You look so gorgeous." I smile at him.

"Thank you guys." He looks so good. Brian in a suit is what I will always love. I make my way over to him, giving him a kiss. I pull away to look at him.

"Oops, you have lipstick on your lips now." I grab a tissue and wet it a little before trying to wipe off the faint stain, all the while being stared at with a piercing gaze.

"Since when did I deserve you?" He asks once I'm done.

"I don't know, but you sure do."

"Here's your corsage." He opens the box and puts the white flower on my wrist.

"Where's my dang camera, Lisa?" I hear my dad ask from down the hallway.
