Midnight

"Brian I have to talk to you... About Axel."

"Go ahead, baby." I open my mouth to say something but instead I fall silent.

"Come on baby girl, you can tell him," Axel breathes next to my ear. I look up at Brian, who's looking into my eyes with his always loving gaze.

"Tell him," Axel urges. "Tell him how much you loved my c***," he says. My eyes start to water, but I still can't say anything.

"I can't."

"I can't."

I open my eyes in the middle of the night. Goddamn nightmares, I f****** hate them. I wipe my tears and grab my phone to call Brian.

"Nightmares?" He asks as soon as he answers.

"Yes..."

"It's going to be okay, princess. Do you want to tell me about it?"

"No..."

"What do you need? Do you need me come over? Just tell me and I'll do it."

"Can you come over?"

"Of course. I'm on my way."

"Don't hang up, please."

"Okay."

"Brian, I love you."

"I love you, too. Hey, I have an idea, why don't we get some food and walk around campus? Sound good?"
