I’m Sorry

"Don't ever talk to me again, Tara. I'm done with you pushing me away like this."

"Brian, please don't leave me. I love you."

"Why don't you tell that to Axel, baby girl?"

"Please, I need you."

"I don't care anymore."

I can't. I can't handle this. I need to talk to someone, and as always, Brian's the only one I can talk to. I don't even know if he'd pick up. I don't know, but I have to try, he's my only chance at complete comfort.

"Hm?" He hums after he answers the phone.

"Nightmare," I sniffle.

"Tell me what it was about, baby." Baby? He's still calling me baby after our argument? I thought he'd be way more cold.

"You."

"Did something bad happen to me?"

"No, you left me." He pauses and I bite my lip to keep from making noises as tears roll down my cheeks. Is he really thinking about leaving me?

"It's going to be alright, okay? I won't ever leave you. You hear me?"

"Yes," I say, shakily.

"Tara, listen to me. I'm not going to leave you. Ever. Okay?"
