Third Chapter

Phoebe woke up early the next morning and she texted Mandy that she would not go to the shop today so he’s in charge of everything.

She was all dressed up already when she went down to eat at the dining area. Her mom’s already there eating while their three servers are preparing her plate and foods.

“Good morning mom!” She joyfully greeted her mom then kissed her cheek.

“You’re quite early today huh?” Her mother asked but she's sure that her mom already knew what’s her plan for today.

“Well mom you know I believed that early bird catches the worm, but for me it’s early suitor that catches the heart.” She said then winked at her mother, and giggled afterwards. Luna just smiled to what her daughter did.

After they ate Phoebe decided to go already. She’s now driving to Yulo’s workplace. When she arrived she immediately went straight to the elevator and pressed the 12th button which was the last floor of this building in where the office of Yulo is located. She went straight to his secretary when the elevator door opened, the secretary smiled at her which she did also.

“Is he inside?” she asked her.

“Yes ma’am, but he’s talking to someone. But you can come inside just knocked first.” Layla—the secretary—answered. Almost everyone in this company knows her because for the past four years she didn’t failed to visit their boss in a daily basis. All the employees here also gossips that she’s dating their boss , Yulo. Which is just alright to Phoebe in fact she really loved that idea ever since.

After knocking three times on the door she opened it and let herself in. She’s quite surprised to see Yulo talking and laughing with a girl that she doesn’t know, she was sitting on one of the visitor’s chairs in front of Yulo’s table. Base on her looks Phoebe know that the girl was just the same as her age. She cleared her throat to get their attentions and it works because now they are looking at her with their questioning looks, they didn’t seem to expect her here, well who would be?

She raised her brow and rolled her eyes to the girl then she move her gaze to Yulo and gave him her sweetest smile. He suddenly lost the good aura that she saw when she entered the room while the two are talking. Yulo didn’t returned her smile instead he even rolled his eyes at her and gave her his signature frown.

‘So rude' Phoebe thought

Phoebe walk closer to Yulo and stand behind his chair then hold his shoulders. Then she looked at the girl sharply, but the girl just laughed like as if she was a big fat joke.

' The hell you’re laughing about? Want me to remove your jaw?!’ Phoebe thought as she was still giving the girl a piercing stare.

“Woah! I didn’t know that you have a very possessive girlfriend here huh.” She said teasingly then laughed afterwards.

“She’s not my girlfriend.” Yulo immediately said like as if he would die if no one has known that they are not in a relationship, which again made the girl laughed hard.

‘ Ouch ‘

“Whatever you say dear cousin.” The girl said still smiling. Wait did she just called him cousin? Oh my she’s suddenly embarrassed to how she acts in front of her. If only the tiled floor could open up and eat her alive, she was overly fazed. Phoebe don’t know now what kind of look she was wearing on her face while Yulo’s cousin was looking at her.

“Miss don’t be jealous of me. We don’t do incest thingy in our family.” She said then laughed again, she’s a happy soul we hope all. “By the way I’m Cassandra, nice meeting you.” She offered her hand to Phoebe for a handshake, even if Phoebe is still embarrassed she still shook Cassandra’s hand.

“Phoebe. Phoebe Ame—just Pheobe.” She said which made Cassandra confuse because why would she hesitate to say her full name? But nevertheless she just shrugged it off. Cassandra face Yulo and bid goodbye, she said that she’ll just pay visit again when she have time, then started walking out of the room while still wearing that teasing smirk on her lips.

When Cassandra was finally out that’s when Phoebe got to breathe normally. She’s so ashamed for her actions.

“So what are you doing here?” Yulo said while his brows furrowed, it seems like he doesn’t really like her presence at all.

Instead of answering his questions Phoebe just smiled and snaked her arm on his arm also, Yulo is standing now that’s why Phoebe has to look up due to the big difference in their heights. Yulo didn’t bother to removed her hand on his because somehow he’s kinda used already to her clingy attitude.

“I miss you.” Phoebe said to Yulo.

“Tss that’s just the reason why you are here? Really? Don’t you have anything to do in your life that you keep on pestering me?” Yulo asked her rudely, even if what he said stings her heart she still smiled. Maybe she was born to be a martyr human being.

“I just really missed you, it’s been a week since I last saw you duh. Why? Didn’t you missed me also? “ She pouted.

“No.” He answered without even blinking then he removed her hand from his then started walking out of his own office.

Phoebe swallowed numerous times, tears started to pool in her eyes. She blinked to avoid those tears from falling but she failed, she still end up crying. She sat down to the sofa located in the small living area of the room. She silently cried there trying to ease the pain she’sbeen feeling for the past four years every time Yulo would show how much he dislikes her.

‘Oh come on Phoebe right from the start he was always that mean to you, are you not used to it already?’

She sobbed even more because of what her mind said. Goodness why is she so emotional? That’s what she hate the most about herself, she’s so soft hearted that even the smallest things can make her cry. She just let her tears roll on her cheeks, she’s sure that one day she’ll no longer have even a single tear for Yulo, she’ll eventually get tired of loving a miserly man.
