After saying goodbye to Carl and Abby, I drove home to get some much needed rest. Despite the fact that Carl and I took turns to stay with Abby at night, I hardly ever actually slept. All I did was think and think and now that I knew she was safe and okay, I think I deserved to rest.

I opened my apartment door and sighed. It had been long since I cleaned the place. I walked to the blinds to open them, allowing the sun to shine into the living room. It looked to gloomy for my liking.

I knew I wasn’t going to sleep until I cleaned the whole apartment and got rid of all the trash lying around, so that is what I did. I picked up trash, I swept, I mopped and I cleaned.

“Whew, back to normal” I said as I wiped the sweat off my face and looked at my now spotless apartment. After my bath, I decided to take a long rest and by the time I woke up, the sky was extremely dark. I checked the time and it said nine pm.
