"You can call it a proposition." Boy number 5 piped in.
"Or you can call it an offer of a lifetime." Boy number 4 chimed in, earning an eye roll from me.
"So exactly what are you saying?" I asked hesitantly.

A Town Called Friendship

Before I could get to where Jaxx stood, Chris halted me. 


“Trust me, you don’t want to do this” he warned and I sighed. 


I left the restaurant immediately after that because to be honest, I also wasn’t ready to talk to him. I decided on going grocery shopping since there wasn’t much food at the apartment anymore. 


I really missed Abby. I took my phone from my pocket to dial Carl’s number, I just wanted to know how she was. He answered on the first ring; 


“Hey there!” he exclaimed and I smiled “You sound happy. Who’s the girl” I teased. 


He laughed “There is no girl, can’t I be happy?” 


True “I just wanted to find out how you and Abby were. Actually, I just missed Abby and I said I should call” 


“You big baby, Abby and I are fine but let me go get her so you can stop crying” he mocked and I scoffed. I heard him shuffling about till he passed the phone to Abby.
