At the first lights of the sun, they have reached to the city state of the Gold River.
The city state of Gold River was a border city state. Since many trade routes to west tribes and clans passed from here the city's welfare was high.
While they were traveling, Arthur noticed the other people next to him. Each one of them were wearing different clothes and they were from different classes.
Arthur understood that these guys were not normal swordsman or something. They were very skilled people who could fight in little battles. Their stance, their weapons were different from each other.
No one talked with each other on the road. Actually Arthur tried to talk with Elizabeth a couple of times but when he started a conversation the talk ended somehow.
Arthur asked all of a sudden,
"Elizabeth what are these old great walls?"
He was pointing the great walls that encircle the city and even standing beyond the city.
Elizabeth, "They are the walls of the maze. They are standing still since the time that the maze constructed."
Arthur was confused, "About that maze thing. What is the maze?"
Elizabeth continued, "The maze is the place the people ran when the ancient empires' war started."
Elizabeth stopped, looked to Arthur and kept talking, "The Forgotten Masters of the Maze helped people to settle and used the walls of the maze for blocking kingdoms to attack each other."
Arthur didn't believe to that, "They built this walls and they are still not effective to stop bandits?"
Elizabeth, "The Maze is a great building. The walls can change their location by the magic of the masters. But for a hundred years, the walls didn't move."
Arthur spoke thoughtfully, "I think I know why."
"Why?"
He talked seriously, "Because there is no maze master. This is nonsense."
Elizabeth was angry after these words,
"What do you mean with that? You don't even remember yourself but still talking about the maze."
Arthur wasn't expecting that, "The thing that I'm saying is, you're probably tricked by some magicians."
Elizabeth angered more, "Shut up! I'm done talking with you."
Arthur didn't understand what happened. He was just trying to help Elizabeth. Because he was thinking that Forgotten Masters were lying to the people.
Ragnar came close to the Arthur,
"Hey Arthur, we have to report the last situation to the Nebula. Please don't go anywhere and stay here."
Ragnar was younger than Rock. His brown hairs and green eyes were the first details that Arthur noticed. But more importantly Ragnar was using sword and shield. His words were carrying the leadership that he had. Arthur responded to Ragnar,
"Where could I go? Do I have anywhere to go?"
Rock, "You could have, Ragnar we should take him with us."
Ragnar was feeling exciting, "Rock are you mad? Why should we took him with us. If he is someone important then the knights of the castle will get all the credit."
Rock, "I don't care about the credit. I don't want him to travel around the city."
Arthur started speaking,
"Hey Rock! I can hear you."
Rock talked with all of his seriousness, "Shut up! Of course you can."
Arthur didn't even care, "Okey you can get the credit. I don't care. Just buy me a meal and get the credit all right?"
Ragnar, "Hey Rock do you have someone we can trust to look for him.?"
Rock, "Well I believe there is someone we can trust. But still let's took him with us."
Ragnar tried to convince Rock, "Rock, listen to me. If that guy is a noble or something, that means you are going back to the arena city states. Wouldn't it be good?"
Rock looked to Ragnar's eyes. Arthur felt the change of the Rock's thoughts,
"It would be good. I don't want to do that but I think we have no choice."
Rock stopped and looked to Arthur. Then he spoke with a low voice,
"Arthur let's go. We will go to one of my old friend's place."
After hearing Rock's words, Arthur turned to Elizabeth,
"Hey Elizabeth, won't you say goodbye?"
Elizabeth looked with a growing anger on her eyes, like she was going to use her spear to attack Arthur.
Arthur, "Okey then, good bye."
Elizabeth was angry to him, "Go away Arthur!"
The clouds were gathering at the top of the city state. People started to walk faster to enter to their houses, merchants stopped selling goods and closed their benches.
While the people were running from the rain, Arthur and Rock arrived to one of the Rock's friends Robert. Rock,
"Hey Robert! You old fool what are you doing?"
"Rock, is that you?"
"Yeah, it is me."
"It's been a long time. Where have you been?"
"I was working."
Robert couldn't believe what Rock just said, "Working? Really, a warrior like you is working. It is interesting Rock."
"Listen I have to go to the castle."
"And?"
"Take care of that guy. Don't let him go anywhere."
"Reason?"
"Just do it."
Rock started walking through the door. But Robert started speaking,
"Hey Rock, when did you start listening Ragnar?"
"Just do what I say."
Rock got out from the store. It was just Robert and Arthur on the little store. Robert,
"Who are you?"
"Arthur, that's all I know."
"Actually I wasn't expecting more than that."
"Who are you?"
"Robert."
"Robert, what?"
"Robert the Ironsmith."
