Rising sun

Layla's side:

Me and Jacob almost fell asleep before the sun came up so we put an alarm just in case.

L -"I'm so tired..."

J -"Me too, but the sun is almost up, let's just stay up a little bit longer"

Staying up was worth it, the sun rise was beautiful. When i was younger i wouldn't get much sleep, so i would watch the sun go down and come back up most nights. Back then it was different, but now, it has a nicer feel to it.

It reminds that no matter how bad it gets, there's always going to be a future, some happiness, hope, and even if it feels like the world is against you, keep going, never give up.

The week went by pretty quickly, and i found myself already packing for when i'll be meeting Jacob's family, it'll only be during the weekend so i won't have to pack too much.

J -(Hey, were leaving tomorrow, do you have all your things ready?)

L -(I'm packing my bag right now, i'm almost done)

J -(Okay, bye)

L -(Bye)

I couldn't get much sleep that night, i was too nervous about tomorrow. What will they think of me? What if i mess up and do something wrong? Oh god. Breathe, just breathe, they're gonna like you, don't worry about it.

The time finally came, i have all my things ready, there's nothing to be nervous about.

J -(I'm waiting for you outside)

L -(I'll be right there)

We got in the car to start our two hour road trip. Oh my god, in two hours i'll be meeting his family. I looked out the window, visibly nervous, to try to distract myself.

J -"Don't worry about it, everything's okay" he said, putting his hand on my thigh.

We stayed like that for the rest of the drive until we finally got there.

L -"Oh my god my back hurts"

J -"Me too, we've been sitting for so long that i forgot how to walk"

*Laughs*
