16. stupid for you.
The next morning was a blur. I only remember a couple of details. She woke me up with some breakfast in bed and told me that she was leaving to get some things. She told me to rest and that it's a surprise.
She came back with a couple of boxes in her arms. Confused, I stare at her as she places them one by one onto the bed. "Okay. I got you some things because you've been through a lot. This isn't all, though." She says and I raise an eyebrow. "You got more?!" I ask and she nods.
"Which one should I open first?" I ask, staring at the boxes. "Either one." She replies and I nod, grabbing the one to my right. "N... no way." I say, surprised. I pick up the hoodie out of the box and smile. "I hope I got the right size." She says and I nod after I check. "I can't believe you!" I practically scream at her. I wrap my arms tightly around her and whisper, "Thank you." "You're welcome." She replies.
The middle one contained a letter that said "Happy Valentine's Day." I looked at her confused as I opened it. "Wait... we're going to Santa Monica???" I ask and she nods. I open the last box, and out came a teddybear holding a heart. "Awww, it's adorable. Thank you." I say and she smiles. I give her a kiss and she says, "You're welcome." I smile and she sits down onto the bed.

"I'm not sure what you want, but I want to take you out for dinner." She tells me and I smile. "Really?!" I reply and she nods. "Umm, how about... Outback Steak House?" I ask.

Romantic candle lights light up our table, setting the perfect mood. As the waitress walks up to our table asking, "What would you like to drink?" I place my hand upon her knee. "Sweet tea, please." I order and she does the same.
"So, how do you like the setup?" She asks and I chuckle. "You planned this out?" I ask shyly and she nods. "They did a great job." I reply as I look at the menu. "What are you getting?" She asks and I shrug. "Well.. I'm not really a meat loving kind of guy..." I joke, making her smirk. "I might just get a loaded baked potato." I say and she nods, "Alright, I'll get you that."
"I love you." I whisper, seductively. She smiles and replies, "I love you too, baby." "Here's your tea, sir." The waitress says. "Thank you." I reply as she sits down my glass. "Do you two need a couple or minutes, or do you know what you'd like?" She asks and I look over to Alaina.
"He would like a loaded baked potato and I would like grilled chicken." She orders and the waitress writes it down. "Will that be all?" She asks and we nod. As she walks away, we begin to talk.
"So, when are we going to Santa Monica?" I ask. "In a few weeks." She replies. "I can't wait!" I say with a smile. "You're so cute when you're excited." She says making my smile wider. "Thank you." I chuckle.

After dinner, she drives us back home. Opening my door, she takes my hand and helps me out. Carefully spinning me around, dancing to the beat of the song that is currently playing on the radio. "I'm so stupid for you..." I whisper and she smiles. "I love you." I add and she carefully tries to dip me, making me smile.
"I love you too, baby." She whispers back and leans in to kiss me. Trying not to get too overwhelmed with emotions, I kiss her. She brings me back up and we start making out until it gets hard to breathe. I begin to feel cold, so she walks me inside.
"Did you... did you do this?!" I ask, so surprised that I accidentally yell. "Yes, baby. This is for you." She replies and leads me inside. Breathless, I follow. The floor is covered in rose petals and the living room is lit by multiple candles, leading into the bedroom. A huge heart filled with chocolates lay on the bed, surrounded by rose petals. I kiss her. "Th... this is just so.. breathtaking. I... I just can't." I say and she hands me the heart.
"Thank you." I say with a smile and she kisses my forehead. A card is taped to the heart: "I may not tell you enough, but I love you dearly." I smile as she lays on the bed. "So, what would you like to do, baby?" She asks and I grin, laying down beside her.
