Chapter 11:

   Shally tried to refuse: "Aunt Margret, I..." but before she gets to say anything, Margret ran away not leaving any chance for Shally to escape. Shally sighed having enough from this situation then turned at Gerard looking at him with a lot of anger, "What? Why are you looking at me like that?" asked Gerard; Shally got close to Gerard, got on the bed and started hitting Gerard in his chest many times angrily: "This is all your fault, idiot, you got me into this add to that, you're not doing anything about it, and it's like this isn't enough so you started saying nonsense about me and Henry too, I'm going to kill you." Gerard tried to calm her but she was so mad and out of control so he grabbed her hands, he pulled her on the bed and rolled over on her: "Calm down." Shally was still trying to hit him but he was still holding her hands against the bed and she couldn't free herself no matter how much she tried, he was stronger than her so she had no choice other than give up and relax; she looked in his eyes and said: "Fine! I'm calm, get off of me now." Gerard sat her hands free saying: "As you wish." Shally got off Gerard's bed and sat on the chair feeling embarrassed of what just happened then Gerard said: "Did you know? You look sweet when you are angry" and laughed, Shally looked at Gerard smiling nicely but pissed off in reality: "Gerard?" so Gerard made the same face as her enjoying teasing her: "Yes Shally?" then Shally turned serious and made the angry face she had: "

× (Shouting) Shut up, this is all because of you.

× Oh come on Shally! You're just going to add an hour.

× (Angry) I'm already spending time here more than I do it at home with my mother and father, in fact I see them only for 10mn a day this week.

× (Laughing) You really look sweet when you are angry."

Shally rolled her eyes and called the one taking care of her parents to ask her to stay until she gets home, Gerard was enjoying it; after that, Margret got to the room with many servants placing a table in Gerard's room and putting food on it, Gerard asked for what's going on and what is his mother doing so Margret told him that they're going to have dinner in his room since he can't go down to the living room and this way, the three of them can have dinner all together. Once dinner was served, the three sat around the table and started eating, Shally was so nervous because this is the first time she shares a table with a rich family so she was scared of doing something indecent, she then looked at Gerard and saw that he noticed her stress so Gerard comforted her with a look that says 'Don't worry, just be yourself', that really helped Shally to relax and reassured her so she started eating. To open a conversation, Margret said:

× "Gerard, you must feel bored by staying the whole day in bed?

× I really do mom, I can't wait to step on my leg again and go out.

× Luckily Shally is coming to see you, I'm pretty sure you don't feel bored in her presence, right?"

Gerard left a small smile and looked at Shally: "Right mom" then Margret asked again feeling curious: "So? How did you two meet?" Gerard heard this question when exactly swallowing the food so it got stuck in his throat and he started coughing, the women looked at him and Margret asked: "Are you okay honey?" Gerard shook his head 'Yes' while drinking water then Margret asked: "So? Who's going to tell me?" Gerard started stuttering not knowing what to lie: "It was...in a meeting...that ah!...as you know mom, Shally is a fashion designer and...I went to see Henry, who is her boss and I...met her there, yeah." When Shally heard this lie, she put her hand on her face as to hide it and say 'This is the worst lie I've ever heard' as for Margret, she wasn't satisfied by this so asked another question: "And? What happened after? Did you ask her out directly or you were scared to be refused by her?" Gerard left an ironic smile saying: "Refused? Oh come on who can refuse..." before he gets to finish the sentence Shally widened her eyes giving Gerard a look that says 'Really? Remember what happened in our first meeting?' then Gerard changed the subject: "I just asked her for dinner and she said yes then we started to know each other and here we are, mom can we eat without talking please?" but Margret was far from being able to do that, since she met Shally she feels excited about everything, she even called her husband and told him that their son have a woman in his life, she almost wrote it in the press(to that point); so ignoring Gerard's request, she turned to Shally: "Shally darling, I really want to spend more time with you and get to know you but you're so busy these days, I don't want to bother you but we're definitely catching things after you finish the show, I want to know how you made this man here fall for you, I spent 4years trying to convince him to find a woman but for nothing until you came, you can't imagine how happy I am." Shally just smiled at her not saying a word, she felt so bad because they're just lying at her, seeing her this happy she didn't want to break her heart, she knew that if she discovers the lie she'll definitely feel hurt; Gerard noticed her sadness and sighed. Before Shally leaves and while she was alone with Gerard she took the chance to talk to him: "

× (Sadly) Gerard we need to tell her the truth.

× Shally I...

× (Interrupting him with eyes full of tears) We can't do this to her, we don't have the right to do this, don't you see how happy she is?

× Exactly, she is happy so why to ruin it?

× (With tears falling from her eyes)You don't get it Gerard, if she discovers by her own she'll be in shock and feel so hurt, the more we leave her be very happy by a lie the more disappointed and sad she'll feel if she discovers the truth but she'll feel less sad if we tell her ourselves, at least she won't be broken. Every time I see her and see the way she looks at me my heart tears apart, I feel a very heavy thing in my chest and I can't breathe."

While saying all these, she was crying and her breath were cutting, Gerard couldn't resist it and hugged her to comfort her: "It's okay, calm down." Shally raised her head to look at Gerard saying with a low cutting voice: "You can find a way to convince her not to get married but if you break her you will never be able to make her back as she is." Gerard looked at her eyes that have a different colour of usual that were looking so beautiful and said: "Give me two more days, I'll find a way to tell her the truth with less damages possible" then kissed her from her forehead.
