'Maybe they mean something?' I wonder while continuing to stride the dark steps.

The orbs shining downstairs are not enough to supply us with the vision we are stepping on. We might have already crushed the skulls of humans or Kudas we have seen on the surface-even worse, parasites.

"You always doubt us, Alk," Iris condemns my patheticness, ashamed that I shattered her expectations of even making up for any chance to change it.
