Not this Again

Like we expected, and like any other maze, we encountered a horde of monsters racing in our direction. These monsters were zombified parasitic creatures that crawled or pranced from one location to another. If it was not for the accuracy training that I had from before, I could hit none of these beings from afar.

The fight became endless as the parasitic creatures rampaged on the other side. Although it was a one-sided battle, we still could not escape or push back the millions of enemies.

Ruby, who had enough with these shenanigans, discharged a massive dark beam that vaporised anything on its way. She asked us first to turn around and avoid glaring at the ominous light. The demonic girl did not know the explanation behind it, but all of us complied and gyrated behind.

We heard countless yells of the monsters in the distance upon contact with the beam. A pitch-black mist surrounded as the attack continued for about a minute before Ruby had run out of juice.
