Something's off with the guard

Trot

The horse trotted as the slowly approached the big gate, leading toward the city, it was noon, around 12 o'clock and the group of 6 men were near the city of Criton. They were stopped by the guards upon becoming closer and closer to the gate. One of the guards asked, "Please state your reason here!"

Aiden was about to answer the question because he was in front of the formation at that moment. But suddenly, one of the men, with the typical brown hair colour and white toned skin, manoeuvred his horse around Aiden's, almost hitting him in the process and proceeded to talk to the guard, like nothing happened, "Ah yes, our lord Marcus, sent us as a reinforcement for the upcoming battle against the barbarians up north"

Aiden looked at the brown-haired boy and thought to himself, '…For the past 3 days on the road, he was the worst amongst them all. Flexing about his merchant family and equipment despite not being able to tie a rope. Jackson… you are really annoying!!!!'

He heard the sound of a horse trotting near him and a second later, one of the guys has his hand on Aiden's shoulder, "Calm down buddy, Jackson is just too excited and energetic about his adventure!"

A wide smile appeared across his face when he turned around and saw who it was. It was a young man with black skin and really short, black hair, "Ah! Thanks to my mate, Mike! You are really the kindest in this group!"

Mike just nodded while smiling. Then Jackson shouted, "Hey guys! Come here, I took care of the matter with the guards. They said we can leave our horses at the stables and they will send 2 guards to guide us to the castle"

The 5 of them nodded to Jackson and dismounted from their horses and gave the leash to a guard, which hurriedly took it away. Then they entered the city with two guards guiding them.

As soon as they entered the city, it was visible where the castle was standing; it was on top of a small hill which made it a little elevated than other building. All six of them, of course, we're excited, as this was their first experience in a city like that.

They walked for a few minutes and were still looking excited, but at this point, Aiden felt something was off, "Something felt off, we have been walking around for a few minutes and haven't reached our destination yet…"

He slowly but surely moved his hand to his sword and just kept quiet. Until he heard a girly voice behind him, "Ugh! That guy, Oliver, master archer or something! It is stupid to follow that retard all those years not knowing that the nobles are much better!"

Aiden smirked, 'Speak of the devil, looks like that's someone I'm looking for… that cheater. Well, I also have another plan for the guards, let's test the water!'

He stopped and informed, "Hey! I have a business to do somewhere else. I'll catch up to the group later!"

One of the guards approached him, "Let me accompany you on your way so you don't get lose!"

He smiled and nodded, "Sure"

Aiden and the guard approached the girls and soon enough, she barked at her, "Hey! Don't approach me!"

(What's with the girl? Those two men could literally be just going to the same direction as her!)

Aiden stopped right in front of her and took a deep breath before shouting, "F*CK YOU CHEATER B*TCH C*NT, WH*RE, M*NKEY, D*G, C*W, GOLDIGGER, P*G, SHAMELESS SL*T!"

They both stared awkwardly at each other before Aiden just shouted to the guard, "RUN! RUN! RUN! DON'T LET THAT WOMAN CATCH US!"

They both ran to the direction they were going to.

Somehow, the two of them ended up in a dark alley. They both looked behind and sighed when they didn't see the woman behind them. The guard smiled before barking at Aiden, "What's that for?!"

Aiden smiled back while shrugging, "A friend of mine said she was a cheater and asked me to do some weird stuff. I did just what I was told to do"

The guard sighed, but that smile suddenly turned into a smirk or perhaps a grin, a humongous one, "Well… you know what?!"

The guard whistled with his mouth and all of a sudden, men started pouring into the dark alley from both sides, "I knew someone from the group was going to get suspicious. I never expected it to be you!"

Aiden looked around, "Well... 10 on my back and 10 in front… you must be a part of a big gang, aren't you? Well, let me show you a special technique then!"

He equipped grabbed the bow on his back and arrows appeared out of nowhere on his hand. The 18-year-old then smirked before he suddenly raised his hand with the arrows on it and threw it toward the men behind him.

They closed their eyes and covered their faces with their arm, but now, the boy has his training sword on his hand and began hacking them with it. Thrust, slash, kick, overhead attack, all he did in a short amount of time.

And just like that, Aiden successfully carved a way for him to use his special technique, run. He ran and ran toward the direction of the castle while hoping there was no dead end on the street he took while he heard the footsteps of those people following him.

Eventually, he made it to a big, wide, open street, where many people were passing by and noticed the commotion. Amongst many of them, were the group of 5 (the group of 5 that came with Aiden earlier) and the 1 guard guiding them.

They locked eyes.
