The King's Gambit

The Grand Magus Lafgand stammers, unsure if what is he is reading is even possible. This little goblin is the key to changing the world. Lafgand unable to control for a few seconds, releases an uncontrollable smile and a scent of violent mirth. Tau hisses at the man, a natural reaction to what is a threat of violence but not aimed at him. Noticing that he has let his mask slip, Lafgand applies, with a coat of magic.

It is distractionary magic meant to woe and pacify. Clouds of red smoke and blue stars shoot about, loud pops and glee at the display as magic illusion makes Tau appear in the fake sky of the Main Hall. The noble watch as the ancient symbols dance around him.
