CHAPTER - 1 { Manetomes and Birkang }

Manetomes, an archipelago on the edge of the sea area of Johto Region.

There are a total of 200 small islands and only 20 have been completely surveyed.

It is said that there might be many more kinds of new pokemons living.

But because of the strange weather, the researchers couldn't go there.

Sometimes storms, sometimes intense snowfall, sometimes hail, sometimes hurricanes, etc.

Manetomes, is also in the book of "Most Dangerous Places", written by Birkang.

"Gengar!"

As Kota' eyes opened, he saw the black figure of Gengar before him.

"Alakazam!"

Behind Gengar was Alakazam, his hands in the air trying to do something or was actually in the process.

"Chaaa!"

"Scizor!"

Kota could also somewhat hear the voices of Charizard and Scizor.

"Aahge!"

Suddenly with the mind wrecking pain, Kota cried as he held his right side ribs.

"Aahe! Damn it! It hurts!"

Kota slammed on the ground, which had sand everywhere.

He seems to be on the beach side of an island because he could hear the water noises.

"Ha…Ha…Ha…"

He took long and full breaths, each time he did so, the pain would remind him that he definitely had some broken ribs.

"Gengar!"

Gengar slowly and carefully held Kota to get up and walk towards the woods.

As for what Alakazam was doing?

He was stopping the heavy rain and wind by creating a psychic shield around them.

The sky was covered in black clouds that rained. The wind was also very strong and cold.

"Aahge!"

Kota grinded his teeth while Scizor came on the other side to Gengar.

Both supported Kota, Charizard were alerted and ready to fight any danger.

They reached a part of the forest where they could see ruins of very old human civilization.

"The hell are we?"

Said Kota, his eyes were feeling very heavy and his body extremely tired.

Suddenly, multiple sounds of fast footsteps were heard.

Charizard clenched his fists, his eyes moving continuously from one place to another.

"Who are you? How did you get here?"

An old voice echoed in the ruins. Kota took a deep breath and tried to control the pain.

"Chaaa!"

Charizard let out a short and small roar, his voice had some pain and sadness.

"Alakazam!"

Floating in the air, with his almost exhausted energy. Alakazam used his psychic power to translate his thoughts.

*Thud*

Alakazam fell on the ground, his eyes lost all the energy in them.

"Guard, bring them to the lab."

The old voice said. Many shadows came out from the woods.

"Chaaa!"

Charizard thought that they were attacking so he punched at one of the shadows.

But then Charizard realized, his fist was blocked by a triple sized palm.

His eyes widened, Charizard stared at the creature before him.

If one were to describe in Kota's old Earth, they looked identical to the Gorilla.

But of course with many different features like the lean body and longer legs.

Short furs and somewhat human-like expressions on their faces.

They had green glowing lines on their bodies that made strange patterns.

"Gwraa!"

The pokemon slammed Charizard on the ground and knocked him out.

Scizor and Gengar were not much better as they were forcefully led to a cave.

* * *

As Kota's eyes opened, he saw the metal ceiling. The pain on his rib was also gone.

"Where am I?"

Kota got up from the bed he laid on, to only be greeted by a huge figure.

"Gwra"

Kota stepped back and looked at the huge gorilla-like creature with many green patterns.

"Don't be afraid, Guards don't harm unless you are hostile."

Kota remembered this old voice, wasn't it the one he heard before in the ruins?

"Who are you!"

Kota knew that the voice came from behind him, so he immediately faced back.

There, next to the bed sat an old man with a cane in his hand.

"You had three broken ribs, five internal organs damaged and many torn muscle tissues. I am surprised you were alive with them."

The old man showed a little laugh, which looked very creepy to Kota.

"What do you mean by that? Didn't I only break and get injured but my life was never in danger to begin with?"

Kota flared back, he tried to get some useful information from the old man about his condition.

"Your right lung was pierced by one of the broken rib and the one organ which was damaged is named Heart by us."

Said the old man as he slowly got up from the chair with the help of his cane.

Kota's eyes widened in shock, wasn't that a little too dangerous to life.

'I could have died if I was left even for a few more seconds."

Kota subconsciously touched his chest and felt the bandages tied to him.

Looking down at his body, Kota looked like a half mummy from the tombs.

"You are really lucky."

The old man said as he came to a machine and pressed some buttons.

"I fixed you up but it will still take some days for you to be completely fine."

Kota walked towards the old man while his eyes glanced everywhere.

Mostly on the huge gorilla like creature before the metal door.

"Where are my things? And my pokemons?"

Asked Kota, the old man stopped what he was doing and looked at him.

"They are still being fixed. Your things are below the bed."

Kota nodded his head and bent down to see his things below the bed as the old man said.

"By the way, that guy is called Guard. A special guardian pokemon of this place."

The old man seemed to notice Kota' eyes on the gorilla-like creature.

"Guard? But I don't remember such pokemon? Now that I think. Where am I? And who are you?"

Kota held his forehead and asked the old man.

"You ask a lot of questions!"

The old man sighed and turned to face Kota.

"I am Birkang. A scientist who is trapped here in Manetomes. And you are with me."

He said, making Kota's body stiff for a second. Did he hear the old man' name and the location' name correctly?

"Don't joke. Tell me truthfully! Where am I? And Who are you?"

Asked Kota once again, but this time his voice was very serious.

Guard, who stood before the door, also sensed the change in situation.

"Like I said. I am Birkang. A scientist who is trapped here in Manetomes. And you are with me."

The old man repeated the words he said before making Kota extremely angry.

"You think I will believe that?"

Kota lowered his head and said it in a low voice but enough for the old man and Guard to hear.

*Bam*

Kota hit the table next to the chair where the old man once sat.

"Birkang is dead! Are you saying that you are two hundred years old! Did you hit your head somewhere?"

Kota erupted with anger, his eyes glaring at the old man.

"If what you say is true. That you are Birkang and we are at Manetomes. Shouldn't we all be dead already?"

It was logical for Kota to act like this, and the old man knew it.

He just smiled and pressed some keys on the machine.

On the monitor that displayed the numbers, changed to multiple photos.

Seeing them, Kota had goosebumps all over his body.

"It can't be! You really are him!"
