Dragon god Beliask, the only remaining true dragon in the realms of heaven. Orphaned a few short years after birth the only direct descendant of the first true dragon. He was a pre-eminent figure in all the heavens. Born into the tradition of being the protector of the universe, a calling which all of his ancestors answered.
However its not common for fate to let good deeds go unpunished and as such even though bathed in the glory of righteousness and valour, the family of heroes at its end was just the one and only Beliask. Despite having to rely on himself alone he also answered the universes call for help, bathing his clan in even more glory and light than the last ten generations combined. As a god he had lived for two million years, it was also two million years of near solitude and lonesome existence. The few people he did interact with were people he had come trust after several thousand years of "fated" encounters.
On one such occasion where he met with a few of his "fated-friends" did he come to realize that fate was not all it was made out to be. The people he thought he could trust, his brothers and sisters in arms, had succumbed to the sin of pride and colluded to forever rid the world of his glorious family that once protected the heavens. Killing a god is no easy feat, not only does it require enormous amount of resources, it requires meticulous planning and flawless execution. Defeating a god was much simpler provided one has enough strength but killing an immortal was more trouble than its worth.
Due to these stringent restrictions, Beliask was able to escape with his soul while his body had inextricably been annihilated. In order to escape his soul floated down from the heavens and quietly searched for an appropriate host, a body of flesh yet to be conceived and without the existence of a soul. The truth was he could have taken over any body considering his power, but to the protector of heavens, how could he kill an innocent for his own gain?
Without a physical vessel his soul should have dissipated but fortunately for Beliask he cultivated a heavenly soul technique which allowed him to preserve his soul for five thousand years without any dissipation, should he not find a vessel by then on the last day of this period he would be severed from the cycle of reincarnation and be forever lost to the void.
Having been plotted against, he was brimming with feelings of vengeance and revenge, and hence he needed the perfect vessel which would one day allow him to seek retribution for all the harm that was brought upon him this day.
His obsession for revenge didnt drive him crazy, but it made him much more meticulous and planning. He ended up waiting for four thousand years never finding a vessel which he felt could help him accomplish his dying wish. On the verge of losing all hope, after having drifted for for so many years he finally came across the scene of Sereena giving birth and the reason he noticed was not because he had hopes for a vessel but because he could sense the faintest of dragon bloodlines in her womb, upon closer inspection he was shocked to see the foetus was not inhabited by a soul. After four thousand years he finally found a vessel which suited his moralities and needs perfectly, the existence of the dragon bloodline was an unexpected bonus since his soul could take that sliver and make it completely pure dragon god blood just like his previous his self.
Without any hesitation he swiftly entered Sereena's womb and began merging with the yet unborn child.
Sereena had been feeling a sense of foreshadowing doom for the last 2 months but could not figure out why such an overwhelming despair had been plaguing her during what could be said the happiest period of her life. After Beliask enter the baby's body the feeling of despair suddenly vanished from Sereena, and a rich glow accompanied her in the final days of her pregnancy. Any residual instincts of fear were swept away completely when she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, born with sapphire eyes and turqoise hair. She named him Teal long after the colour and gave him the title little jade dragon.
