Chapter 8

Addy woke up feeling refreshed and was humming a song as he walks into his massive bathroom, he brushed his teeth and had a shower before stepping out. He walked into his massive walk-in wardrobe where he decides to wear a corporate outfit, he chose a grey pant with a white shirt, even though it looks simple, it looks really good on him. He finished dressing up, still humming to a song. Anyone that sees him right now, would believe he is a different person entirely. As he got into the living room, his face changed

"Mother!!!"

"Good morning baby, you look like you had a great night"

"Well I sure did thanks, what are you doing here this early morning"

"It is not early, its late morning darling the time is too eleven," she said as she pointed to the wall

"Anyways, its still morning what business do you have here today" he frowned

"Let's discuss while you have your breakfast"

"Mom, tell me now"

His mom knew if she says anything now, he would leave without eating his breakfast and her rules is no matter what make sure you eat breakfast even if you decide to skip any meal for the day.

She pouted and said, "So I cannot come to see my own son before he goes to work?"

"You said I shouldn't come to your office anymore, don't you know its hard on your poor mother?" She continued

She thought 'well it is working, I need to keep up my act'

"Mom stop, I know you are acting. You also know why I stopped you from coming to my office, you always come with different girls and I cannot accept that in the office. And moreover, you don't come here unless you have another date set up for me and I'm not going, You cannot force me to do something I'm not ready to do" he said to his mother as he went to the dining area to have his breakfast.

"But I'm bored I need grandchildren to play with" his mom pouted

"Play with dad, he has time"

"No thank you, your father is boring and he also agrees with me, we are bored, will you go on this one date, I promise this will be the last time"

"No mom, I don't have the time"

"Ok should I tell her to come to the office then"

"No way, let me think about it, I will let you know"

"When? should I expect your call this afternoon? I'm sure you will like her. She is the finance minister's daughter and she's about your age"

His mother thought 'I don't know who broke your heart that makes you want to die single before giving me my grandkids, I need to know that monkey'

"Mother I will let you know and I don't want to see anyone in my office"

"Well she not anyone, she the finance minister's daughter"

"Either the finance minister's daughter or the President's daughter, if they are not coming for business, I don't want to see anyone," he said before getting up and went down to his garage where his driver was waiting for him.

'Oh, they must come for business, perfect' his mother thought to herself smiling. She knows her son will not get back to her, so she has a backup plan and she has found the perfect one. She took out her phone to call

"Good morning ma" a sweet angelic voice was heard

"Morning Princess, how was your night darling?"

"It was good thank you ma"

"Do you by any chance have time today, I was to discuss somethings with you"

"Yes ma, I'm free this afternoon ma"

"Ok perfect, can we meet at my place around two this afternoon"

"Yes ma, see you later ma," she said before hanging up the phone call

I need to go now so my plan can work well

"Flo, I'm going now, keep me updated on the usual things"

"Yes, Madam" Aunty Flo has been giving Emma Thompsons information about Addy.

Addy knows she been giving his mother information about him, but he chooses to ignore them and let him do whatever they want to do,

As soon as Emma got home she called her husband and explained everything to him

"Why don't you leave the boy alone and let him choose his future partner himself," James Thompsons said

"So you mean when I'm old and cannot walk or when I'm dead, that's when he will bring his children to my grave and start saying, we wish we had met you, grandma, I'm sure you were a nice person blah blah blah" Emma gloated

"Is that what you want?" she said angrily

"The way I see him, he's not ready to do anything but so far I have been trying and I will keep trying" she continued

"Honey you are just being dramatic right now, I'm sure he is considering it, he's just not saying anything," her husband said

"Well until he says something, I will try my best. Clara is on her way now and she is the best candidate for him. He is so stubborn and hot-headed and she is so cool and calm like an angel.
