Meanwhile, Leo already got to the office as early as ten, to sort out some documents and he then forwarded the research he did about Eva Williams to Addy through email, he's only waiting for him to get to the office and pet him like a puppy that has learned how to pouty train.
When Addy got to his office, he checked his email, as usual, he noticed Leo's email with some others, he then decided to check Leo's email first. as he clicked the email, he realized it was all the information about Eva Williams. He dialled his intercom
"Get in here now"
Leo was a little bit worried about the tone Addy used, immediately he went into Addy's office.
Addy was busy scanning through the files without any expression on his face. Leo studied his face but could not say what he was thinking
"What about the information about the child's father" he frowned
"I couldn't find any information about him"
"Ok, you may go"
"That's it?" Leo was surprised
"Won't you give me a peck, hug, and praise me" he pouted
"Well you know I would still ask you to do it just that you did it before asking you," he said without taking his eyes off the screen. Leo's shoulders dropped as he turns to leave the room
"What a meanie" he mumbled under his breath, Addy looked up to see him been sad, he smiles to himself and said
"Thanks anyways" Leo's face lit up immediately and his mood changed.
"I did a great job right, I deserve an award, right? I'm the best assistant of the year right" Leo said feeling delighted
"Yeah yeah whatever, shut the door behind you"
Leo was glad and winked cheekily at Addy
Immediately Leo's attitude changed into a professional. They have meetings every morning to go over everything from the previous day and how they can improve their services. But they had to delay the meeting today because Andrew came in late.
"Sir the meeting is in fifteen minutes," Leo said before leaving
They both went to the conference room where the morning meeting was being held. All the team leaders and managers of each department were present. they all stood up to greet him as he entered. The meeting was brief as all he could think was to go back to his office to continue going through Eva's information.
On his way back to his office, his phone rang, he realized it was his grandfather calling. He smiled and picked it
"Good afternoon grandpa, how are you? I was planning to call you after work, how are you feeling? hope the chemo is helping?" His grandfather was diagnosed with Colon cancer about three years ago and his health has deteriorated since then but still receiving treatment.
"I'm good thanks, and yes I'm responding well to the treatment"
"I'm calling to inform you that one of my friend's grandchild is coming for some inquiry and I will like you to personally attend to the matter" he purposely did not mention the gender so his grandson will not suspect anything
"Which of your friend because I know all of them and their grandchildren" Addy was curious
"Well you don't know him, we just reconnected after a long time" he lied
"Ok grandpa, I will call you later, take care of yourself" he ended the call
As he got back to his office, he continued his research when his intercom rang
"Sir Dr Collins is here to see you" from the front desk
"Send him up" he automatically thought the person is a guy
"Sir shes a young lady," the front desk said confusedly
His eyebrows were raised and he asked again
"who did she say referred her?"
"Your grandfather sir"
"Ok send her up"
After some minutes, there was a knock
"Come in" he stood up
A beautiful tall woman wearing a mini dress with some of her cleavage out came in
"Good afternoon Mr Thompsons, I'm Dr Clara Collins but you can call me Clara," she said with a big smile
"I'm Andrew how can I help you, my grandfather called me to inform me you were on your way," he said motioning her to sit
"Oh yes," she spoke with a flirty tone.
"So how can I help you?" he asked again
"I'm planning to open a branch of my hospital in another location and I'm not sure which area will be the best for hospitals," she said lowering her body seductively to show more cleavage.
Addy thought 'how unprofessional, and she calls herself a medical doctor, I guess not all doctors are decent how disgusting'.He completely ignores her gestures and flirty actions.
He explained everything he needed to tell her but she seems to be asking the same questions over and over again on purpose and he was done with the time waster.
"That would be it for today, I can organize a team for you to go see some sites together. I've got another meeting now," Addy said
"Oh ok thank you, but I would love for you to be the one to take me to the sites, cos I love the way you explained everything to me," she said winking to him
"Miss Clara lets be professional please and trust me, my staff are experienced enough to handle our clients"
"Ok thanks for the appointment" she felt embarrassed and straighten herself up. They both stood up and shake each other before she strode out and thought 'OH YOU WAIT AND SEE I WILL BECOME YOUR WIFE ANDREW THOMPSONS'
