Chapter 38

Leo told Addy about the email from VEES BRANDS, about the location they chose.

Addy told him to make arrangements with their architect contractors immediately.

They've got different types of contractors in their company and since the company is big they've got more than two contractors in each section.

Most of them have to come to the office and work, while the rest are out on the field working.

Most of the architects come to the office daily, unless they need to survey the land.

Leo called the manager for the architect section and informed her about Addy's request. With immediate effect, they are going to the conference room waiting for Addy.

Five minutes later, he came in with Leo and told them to go survey the land (location D) in City Y, and that they should make a sketch of what they think would be fitting for a bridal company.

He told them to get back to him before the end of the week.

Leo knew Addy is trying his best to impress Eva because he doesn't get involved with all these steps. As soon as the meeting ended, they all went on doing their assignments.

After work, Addy decided to go to Thompson's mansion to check up on his grandfather and mom because he hasn't gone back since the day he left, but he has been calling more frequently.

When he got inside, he found his mother in the living room, as he hugged and greeted her. Addy saw that she is feeling a lot better now compared to the last time he saw her, he went to say hi to his dad and grandfather as well and decided to stay for dinner.

During dinner, his mother asked him about his relationship with Clara.

"How's Clara? Isn't she a lovely girl?" Emma asked

Addy continued his food without replying.

"When are you guys going on a date?" she continued

"Mother can you tell her to stop coming to my office" Addy spoke. The reason he hasn't shown Clara his true nature is that his mother likes her, if not she wouldn't dare pull what she did this afternoon without seeing his true colours

"I cannot do that, she is your girlfriend and she truly loves you that is why she is making time for you"

"I didn't say I want a girlfriend, and more so I have someone I already love and I'm going to marry her, so don't make things more complicated for me please"

Everyone at the dining table was so shocked and almost spat their food out.

"Are you serious?" His mother asked curiously

"That great son" his father commented

"Are you really sure, hope you're just not trying to buy your way out of this relationship?" his mother asked

"Can you not give the child a benefit of doubt" his father spoke

"Who is she? Do I know her? Is she beautiful? Who are her parents?" His mother bombarded him with questions.

This is why he doesn't want to tell her yet. She is so nosy about his relationship life.

"How do you expect him to answer all those questions at once" his father replied his wife

"Whoever she is, I'm sure she's beautiful and talented, so you don't have to bombard him with questions" he continued

" Thank you dad" he's dad is always coming to his rescue...

"Well I still want to know her name and what she does for a living" his mom grunted

"When the time is right, I will let you know" Addy replied

"Well until you let me know, Clara stays your girlfriend" she demanded

Addy was getting frustrated because when his mom makes up her mind, it is extremely difficult to change it.

He only hopes Eva feel the same for him, or at least she would start feeling something for him. All he knows is he is not giving up.

After dinner, he went upstairs to check up on his grandfather.

He has been receiving his treatment at home but his condition is not improving and the doctor his suggesting hospitalisation, but grandpa doesn't like the hospital. Since it was the hospital's fault his wife and his other son died. His wife and his other son died at the age of five, due to the negligence of the hospital. He has never liked the hospital since then.

Addy advised his grandfather to go to the hospital, that nothing bad will happen. What happened previously was in the past, and no one would dare to harm his grandfather, since people fear him.

His grandfather told him he would consider and get back to him.

After spending some time with him, Addy left.

Eva and Lilian were done for the day, after a busy day at work. They decided to go to the police station to find out more about Lilian's apartment.

They met with the chief of police to know what was going on, but he told them they haven't found any lead whatsoever and he would still suggest Lilian should keep on living with Eva, at least until they solve the case.

They both thanks to the officer and left the station.

Not far from their car was a car that has been tailing them since morning but they didn't notice. They got in the car and the driver drove them home.
