Chapter 50

Addy went into a panic mood, seeing Eva pass out.

He quickly carried her out of her chair and cleared the long dining table to put her there, as he quickly called Lilian.

Lilian was so shocked to see Eva had passed out

"I will call the ambulance" Lilian quickly pulled out her phone

"Don't worry, I already called a doctor, he's on his way" immediately she passed out, he called one of his friends Mike that is a medical doctor and he is on his way.

A few minutes later, Addy doctor friend called to let him know, he is downstairs with the security.

Because it was after work time, the security guard isn't allowing him to enter the building, so he called Addy to let him know.

Lilian had to talk to the security guard before he allowed him to enter.

When doctor Mike got to Eva's office, he saw a worried look on his friend's face, which is very rare. He can't remember seeing Addy with any other facial expression apart from his simple and normal straight face, he thought and looked at the woman on the table, she must be the reason, he smiled to himself.

After examining Eva, he looked at Addy

"You don't have to worry, she's fine. She's got cold and because she didn't rest well, she's so exhausted and dehydrated. So I will administer pain medicine in her drips and she should be fine"

"Ok, but you can't give her drips here. Can you follow me home to do that"

"Yeah sure, you are already used to having me come to your house to give you drips anyways" Mike is Addy's doctor. And whenever he is ill, Mike would always come to his house to treat him. He even has spare keys to his house.

"Wait, I don't understand...which house?" Lilian couldn't help but speak

"Mine of course" Addy replied

"Hell no, she isn't going to your house unconscious," Lilian said with a serious tone

"I am not going to harm her or do anything to her" Addy replied

"I don't care, if she can't go to the hospital, then I'm coming too"

"Ok fine, come along" Addy had no choice but to let her come along.

Because it was way past the closing hours, Addy didn't bother wearing his disguise out of the building, not knowing one of the staffs had taken his picture with Eva in his arms.

When they got to Addy's apartment building, Lilian noticed they went through a different route to the basement garage. She realised it was a private garage, just for Addy, and there's a private elevator to his penthouse.

Addy took Eva to his bedroom, where he laid her on his bed for Mark to do his job. After a while,

"So I have given her some shots that will make her drowsy and sleep throughout the night and painkillers for her body temperature" Mark explained the situation with them

"If there's any other thing let me know. You know how to remove the injection already, so I will take my leave now."

"Ok no worries, thanks" Addy thanked him

"Miss, I can drop you if you want, don't worry I can assure you, your friend will be safe and she will not be waking up tonight, so there's no point waiting" Mark turned to Lilian

Lilian thought about it and decided to leave, so she can go home to meet Rosie.

"Ok, no worries. I will be back in the morning before going to work"

"Yeah that's fine" Addy replied.

She followed Mark out.

"I'm Mark Hank, nice to meet you" he stretched his hands

"I'm Lilian, the pleasure is mine" she blushed

When they got in Mark's car, Lilian gave him the house address.

"So, do you have any boyfriend?" Mark asked curiously

"No...Do you have a girlfriend or maybe a boyfriend?" She asked trying to know his sexuality

"Don't worry I'm straight, and no I don't have a girlfriend" he chuckled

"Hmm...good" she mumbled to herself not knowing Mark heard her and he smiled.

"Hope you don't mind if we exchange our contacts," Mark asked

"No, I don't mind at all"

They exchanged numbers, and he drove her home.

When they got to Eva's mansion, he thought if he could ask her

"I know we just met, but would you like to go on a date with me?"

"Yeah sure" Lilian replied without hesitation smiling.

"Fantastic, when are you available?" He couldn't believe he hears, he summoned the courage to ask her in the first place, despite his little to no experience with women.

Mark has never had a girlfriend but he's had some flings in the past.

He is at the age where he's planning to settle down and have his own family but due to the nature of his job, he's finding it difficult to plan well.

"I'm usually available weekends, so anytime except for this weekend"

"Ermm...I have an occasion next weekend, Ermm... would you like to be my date?" He has been invited to the president daughter's wedding, and he needed to bring a date at least to shut his parents and siblings mouth.

"No thank you... I don't even know you that well and don't know if we will still be talking after the first date, so I won't risk people seeing us together before anything even starts"

"I know it is too early for this, but trust me the moment I saw you, I felt an instant connection. I can promise you I'm not a bad person"

"I didn't say anything about being a bad person, I just don't want anything bad to happen"

"Ok, I won't pressurise you, but think about it"

"Ok sure, good night" She opened the car door to leave.

"Good night... I will call you"

"Ok," Lilian blushed.

He drove off.

Lilian had to explain to everyone that Eva, unfortunately, won't be coming home today, but she's fine, she's only out for work.

She didn't want them to panic, so she didn't tell them exactly what had happened.

Rosie wasn't happy about it because no matter what, her mother would still call to let her know she wouldn't be coming home, but she's not even picking up her calls.

Lilian told Rosie, Eva is in a meeting and they are not allowed phones but she promises as soon as the meeting ends she will call her.

After dinner, Lilian personally put Rosie to bed before going to bed herself.
