Chapter 43 Dissonance

Leon returned with Moros to the camp with Moros and his men.

"By the way, you haven't tell me your girl's name" ask Moros.

"Her name is Christine. I helped her get away from some lab in Africa. She doesn't remember her past life, so she follow me around"

As Leon walks as he analyzes his plan. Right now what he have are not too much, he only knows about the existence of Licker and Tyrant on both sides. He also find out about Neo Umbrella, but where and who at this moment is still vague.

Him giving the rebels the Spiderbot Type-1 is quite a gamble for a trade, the robots are force multiplicators once it is armed. And he won't need to gather resources for them.

ANother thing he considers is how to deal with other Players or Experimenters named by the Systems. Being an L means he has more advantage, but also more targeted by other Players.

It needs to be played right. For now he just follow the flow of the story, but there are things that make him wary. A Fan and Big Liu. While Big Liu could be compromised, he knows A Fan is targeting Christine.

When they arrived, they saw other Player already gathered around, when two man drag Daniel to the front,

"Hey, don't let him join those two!" speak A Fan.

Leon just sneered at A Fan, while giving a regretful look to Big Liu. Meanwhile Wolfe, Turner, and Michelle seems trying to get closer to Leon.

"Well about the boy named Daniel, we have an issue" say Moros.

"The other two Mercenary have stake their claim on him?" Leon asked.

"Well, one is expert on using guns, the other claims he is a virus expert. Compared to your ability to analyze the war and what you could bring for us, I would rather put my bet on you!" say Moros.

"Virus Expert?" Leon frowned.

"Any problem?" ask Moros.

"Better you keep your eye on those two. The gunman is probably more honest, but the other one would likely change sides. Like you say, both of them have no knowledge about this war"

Moros than walk to two of his people, then he whispers "Keep an eye on these people, especially Leon Connor, investigate as thorough as you can. Also watch those two people, Big Liu and A Fan. Who knows what trick they would do"

"Connor, thanks for helping me. I accidentally blurt out something that I should not said" said Daniel.

"What?" ask Leon

"Well things about Main God Space, once I said it It gives me a warning and cut my point 300 points" he seems regretting it.

"Come with me, I need your help in planning things forward," said Leon. He was wary as two people came at him in a bad mood.

"Well, well, well. Who knows that the hidden expert, Mr Connor plays dirty huh" said A Fan.

"You are insincere to us Connor" growl Big Liu with anger.

Leon just smirk and smile "Well, everything is allowed to finish the Quest. Right?"

"Whatever, we need to talk with Daniel for finishing this Quest" said A Fan.

"Well, too bad. I already booked him first. Another thing, hmmm, you should ask me about it if you want to ask for Daniel"

"Daniel? Are you forgetting who save you in the plane?" shout Big Liu.

"Ah…. I …." Daniel seems worried, but then he make a choice "It is I who follow you in the plane on my own initiative, but you don't even look at me when I fall in the runway. Sorry, but I follow Connor"

"Connor? We wait and see" said A Fan with a wicked gleem.

"Oh, In reality there is a reason I do this, I heard that you claim you are a Virus expert to them. Strange, I know about Jin Yong, and yet I never heard of Wudang School have any relations with virus" said Leon to A Fan.

"That is another matter" said Big Liu.

"Well, I already warning you. I walk first" said Leon.

"Little Bro, why do you conflict with those people?" ask Daniel. For him Leon is one of his biggest benefactor, not only he gain more influence on Moros that he could disregard the other two expert.

"I don't trust them. Well I don't trust one person" said Leon.

"Who?" ask Daniel.

"A Fan. He said he goes to Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber world, but he shouldn't be from Wudang. Wudang use a long sword, not a short sword, he also claim as a virus expert, so it is likely his school focus on Poison"

"Ah you mean he probably a member of Medicine sect or Five Poison sect"

"And if it was like that, this Resident Evil world for him would be like a fish in the water. And with how Big Liu reacts, they probably already made a deal"

"So what do we do?" ask Daniel

"I have my Plan. Considering you already deducted, we cooperate. IF we play our card right we could change the entire plot and gain a big reward"

It was at that moment they saw three other Player coming in.

"Mr. Wolfe, Michelle, Turner" said Leon with a smile.

"You are a strange kid Connor. But it seems you are not a stranger to these situation" said Mr. Wolfe.

"But he is just a kid" said Michelle.

"Yo, Girl. I am a kid who survive battlefield. That is one thing that is more than you" Leon smirks with smile. Michelle just pout knowing he is right.

"I know that It is wrong asking this from a kid, but we ask if we could joining you"

Leon tilt his head. "I mean we want to gain more information about what we get in to. I hope you could help us understanding this" said MR Wolfe with a frustrated face.

Leon just walks while telling them to follow him.

"Fine. Let me tell you the simplest thing I understand, I don't have much time. Right now you are being abducted by a System that sends you to Multidimensional reality where every fiction that exists in your world now becomes a reality. Your time to exist is limited granted by the system, if its gone you are erased by the system. You gain reward points each time you finish your quest, those points could be used to buy more time, or to bring things from one world to another. Everything has a price that could be bought by Reward Points, but no ability. In each world you visit, you could learn powers specific to that world from its inhabitant" said Leon.

"You mean If I go to Avatar the Last Airbender I could be a bender too?" ask Turner.

"You must learn it on your own, but you could pay the time to learn it by paying Reward Point" said Leon.

"Well, there is something I need to do. So you better rest and try to prepare for tomorrow. My advice? Try to stay alive. People die in this world like nothing, and live is cheap in the system" Leon walks away after telling them those things.
