"Few minutes away from Cortana is like a thousand years in Utopia."
He said to himself as his hands fiddled with the wheels of the Lamborghini. Twas yellow. He loved them flashy and classy. Though he looked really hot but he wouldn't act it. Probably he did act it but loved to hide it. Complications.
He had his reasons for asking the engineer to fix Cortana in a spot in his room. He was glad that he did it even though he didn't know her quite closely then. If he hadn't done that, he would had been really miserable.
That wasn't outrightly true though, he probably was making a mountain of the molehill. Cortana had her better sides too. She had helped several times. An example of reminding him of the birthday.
He wanted to pull over but he wasn't sure. Cortana could be a meathead. She could had said the other way round to confuse him or prevent him from going then use it against him later. She was that smart.
In five minutes time he should be at the WEHOo media house. Where she worked.
Most times he had tried to understand what the name of that company meant but he lost track. He hadn't asked the lady though. He bet that she wouldn't even know it.
The name doesn't even sound mushy. At least, not for a media house. There were quite the numbers of names that could be used.
Like Kim and Kayle home of media or Words Inn. Something like those. Even though his were not so cute, they were much better than theirs.
He drove into the garage at the front of the large media house. Twas like a mini version of the New York times office. Quite large but not like a government firm. Portable and perky.
He turned the key and was sure that the engine already knew peace. Then he opened the door and stepped out.
He was lucky to had slid into a pair of joggers and his white sneakers. Though his top was an armless, that didn't really matter.
He stepped out and noticed few ladies peering at him from the inside of the hall. Something which was close to being a reception hall.
He looked around. Like just a quick glance at the area. The sun was sharp but timid. He could still wait to be burnt for some whiles before he would go in.
He hadn't been to her office ever. That would be his first time. He had sometimes ago driven past the place but hadn't taken note.
There were few houses opposite the building. The remaining buildings were companies and infrastructures. He had no idea why some folks would have there houses there.
Though fair enough, the companies and infrastructures surrounding the buildings were not the noise making ones. Just some trading companies. Some sold plugs, spare parts, stationary etc etc.
He saw a lady sitting at the top of a stair which led down the bungalow. She was half-naked. Like just a blouse revealing her nipples and a bum short.
He looked away from her. He wasn't there for that. He was there to apologise. Maybe, maybe not.
But why was he still standing there? He should go and meet her of course.
He had forgotten something. He pushed the button of the Lambor's remote control and the door opened. Opened up, like one of the wings of a bird.
He bent and picked the bouquet of lilies he had gotten for her. The bouquet had four major color of the flower. White, orange, pink and yellow. A little glint of romance.
He left the spot and worked towards the door of the building. The door of the Lambor shut behind him. Refreshing.
The door to the large hall opened by itself and he stepped in. Few of the people who were in the hall looked towards him immediately.
As he walked to the desk of the person who, obviously, he was supposed to ask around from, he looked hurriedly around trying to figure out if he would see the lady. His lady.
He got there, he saw two ladies looking towards him. Specifically looking at him. He had no idea whether or not they knew him. Knew him with Ishbelle.
"Excuse, please."
The lady who had been rummaging probably a drawer underneath the table behind the desk looked up at him.
She smiled.
"She has been expecting."
He was confused. He didn't know when he told her that he would be coming over.
He shouldn't be so worried.
"Cortana. Damn."
"Beg your pardon?"
The lady stared curiously at him. She probably wanted to know what he meant by that.
"How do I locate her office, please?"
She seemed stunned.
"Come with me, please."
A very busty lady with nice curves dressed in blue gown walked up to him and offered.
He noticed. She was one of the two ladies who had been staring at him. Hope she knew that he already was in love with someone else.
"Oh. That's kind of you."
He looked at the lady who had been attending to him and smiled, nodding as a token of gratitude.
The lady was not pleased. He had no idea why. She probably had a contention with the other lady or wanted to be the one to show him the way.
He thought of what to do to please the jealous one. He would get back to her. Probably through Ishbelle.
The lady walked into the elevator and waited for him to enter.
He stood at the door firstly. He was skeptical. He didn't want to go in with her. He was smelling a foul play.
He shouldn't be so scared. She should be one of Ishbelle's friends in the firm.
He walked in and she pushed the button of the elevator. Floor 4. That made sense.
"Uhmm uhmmm. "
She cleared her throat and tucked her palms into each other, then place them over her thighs. He didn't look.
"So, you are the lucky guy or the other way round?"
He looked at her, trying to make meaning of what she was meaning to say.
Then she walked closer to him, she had been standing at an end before then.
He was quaking and pushing his oesophagus up and down the throat.
She was already standing before him.
What was she going to do? His thoughts were swift.
