Chapter XVI: Meet Tony

Tony knew he was in love the moment someone broke up with him. He could feel the creeping desperation and he knew that girl was the one, at least the one at the moment.

He was with Tess for a couple of months. She seemed an ok girl, settled, good job, great house, even if she wouldn’t invite him there so often as he pleased. He felt their relationship was perfect. None of them too into each other, but both happy to spend time together. And that’s the perfect balance. You wouldn’t need someone too crazy for you and you wouldn’t want to be too crazy for someone. Crazy isn’t good, moderate works wonders.

He could see them getting married, maybe even throw a kid or two in the mix, why not. His mom would be delighted to take care of her grandchildren. And then her mother, Claire, seemed she was ready to have a grandchild even if it meant she needed to birth that herself. So it seemed the perfect relationship.
