Alexander was seated in his study when Charles walked in on him.
He had struck the door with so much gusto that it flung open in front of the King and pulled his attention.
"Charles?" The King said uncertain as to why he had turned up anonymously.
"Your Majesty." Charles said as he bowed down his head to the King.
"What is the matter?" The King asked
"I have some bit of news your Majesty and it is about the Queen." Charles replied.
He handed over a newspaper to the King.
" HIS ROYAL MAJESTY THE QUEEN VALERIAN FOUNDS THE SCOLN WOMEN'S MILITARY FRONT." The Queen mother read to Prince Alfred.
"Quite the News for the front page." The Prince said.
"I wonder how furious my son will be when he sees this." The Queen mother said.
"The Queen as as good enough a dead man." The Prince said.
"I wouldn't actually say that before noticing anything, as you may know, my son might be angry but at the same time unpredictable." The Queen mother said.
"You know him better?" The Prince Alfred said.
"Of course." The Queen Marietta replied.
"I am not usually the type of person to speak about it but I suppose with the popularity of his consort, the King might feel afraid or even worse jealous of his Queen." The Prince said.
"I think that afraid is a very heavy word." Queen Marietta said.
"I have noticed he barely reacts to anything that his Queen does." Prince Alfred said.
"This time around I am going to show you that he won't think twice before ending this short power regime of his Queen." Queen Marietta replied.
"His Royal Majesty the Queen Valerian of Scoln has declared and put in place a group of warrior Scoln women to serve in war." The King read and stopped.
"This is ridiculous." Alexander said.
"Your Majesty, the Prime Minister is here to see you." A servant on the door way came in and said.
"Let him in." Alexander said and before he had finished, the Prime Minister was walking towards his desk.
"Your Majesty." The Prime Minister said as he removed his hat and bowed down his head.
"Rise." Alexander said.
"I think the News has already reached you Your Majesty." The Prime Minister said.
"It seems that there is a lot that is going on in the country and I am not being told a thing or two about it." The King said as he stood up.
"Tension in Parliament is at it's worst your Majesty, we need a solution.
Only you have the power to react to this because the very best we can do as the Parliament is express ourselves in talking and asking you." The Prime Minister replied.
"This tension is too much." Alexander said.
"I am afraid the Queen's actions have been deemed to be immoral and thoughtless.
It is irresponsible to ignore the duties and the requirements of being the Scoln Queen that he is supposed to be." The Prime Minister said.
"I had no idea it would come to this." Alexander Said.
"First the women joining the army and now a Front formed without the King's consent." Charles said.
"How do you expect the people to respect you as King if your own Queen doesn't your Majesty?" The Prime Minister asked.
"I shall talk to him." Alexander said feeling a little bit uneasy.
"The time of talking is over your Majesty, this continued popularity of your Queen threatens the throne.
Parliament is in worry, first plans to take over your people, then plans to change your home it has become hard to convince the nobles that next might be usurping your throne." The Prime Minister said.
"I am sure that he had a good reason." Alexander tried to convince them but he felt his own tone betraying him.
"I am certain there is no proper excuse, why is it that when the people see their Queen, they are happier than when the King arrives?" The Prime Minister asked.
"I think the Prime Minister is right, it has come to keen attention that there is a favorite between you two.
I don't mean to be rude but we can be sure that favorite is not his Majesty." Charles said.
"Silence." Alexander said as he Rose from his seat.
The Prime Minister and the Private Secretary bowed their heads in fear of the King's rage.
"Forgive us sire." They both said.
"I shall not tolerate this any longer, I can not take this anymore." King Alexander said.
"So what do you want us to do your Majesty?" The Prime Minister said.
"Charles, I need an audience with the Queen immediately right now." Alexander said.
"Alright your Majesty, I shall send for him right away." Charles said as he turned around to walk away from the study.
He left the King and the Prime Minister there alone.
"I am so sorry your Majesty that it has come to this but the upheaval that is here is too great." The Prime Minister said.
"At this point in time I can not understand exactly why everything has come to this." Alexander said.
"May be we could give it more time." The Prime Minister said.
"You are the same person who told me that there has to be an immediate solution to all this." The King said.
"There has to be but just be calm for a while." The Prime Minister said.
"Impressive headline your Majesty." Gerald told Valerian.
"I had no idea that the entire idea could be this positive, I am just as shocked to see the way things are right now." Valerian replied.
"And are you sure about this?" Gerald asked.
"Of course I am sure." Valerian replied as he put on his earrings.
"Don't you think that it is a little bit too off?" Gerald asked.
"There is nothing odd that is going on here." Valerian said.
"Come to look at it, you have barely told his Majesty a word." Gerald said.
"I am the Queen." Valerian replied.
"I thought he is the final say when it comes to all this." Gerald said.
"I am sure that he is quite busy, any good Queen does not unnecessarily load his or her King with work.
They are supposed to be supportive and besides, the King granted me just about enough political power.
In this way, I shall be showing him that I responsible enough to bear all my duties and fully carry them out." Valerian replied.
"You really care about him a lot." Gerald said.
"Of course I do, he is the only husband that I can ever have in this life and the next." Valerian replied as he reorganized the diamond necklace he wore.
"I wouldn't be surprised if he were actually happy with the result." Gerald said.
"Me too, come to think of it, I am indirectly helping him relax from his Kingly duties.
We barely get to spend time with one another and I want to at least give him a helping hand to make things easier for him." Valerian replied.
"He is quite lucky to have you as a Queen, I mean there are barely any people who are that helpful in a marriage." Gerald said.
"I must admit that the work feels heavy sometimes but for his sake, it is worth it and it gets lighter each and every time." Valerian said.
The two were still talking with one another when there was a knock on the door of Valerian's bedroom.
"Come in." Valerian permitted the person at the door to walk in and it was a valet.
The Valet stopped at the entrance and then bowed his head to offer the Queen respects.
"What brings you here?" Valerian asked as Gerald continued organizing him while the both of them looked into the mirror.
"It is His Majesty the King." The Valet replied.
"And what is with the King?" Valerian asked.
"He wants an immediate audience with you." The Valet replied.
"Send back word and in from him that I shall be over in a minute or two, I need to first finish somethings." Valerian said.
"Alright your Majesty." The Valet replied and bowed down his head.
"Very well then." Valerian said and waved the Valet off.
"I suppose his Majesty the King really misses me so much." Valerian said.
He stood up and looked at his green and white Satin gown that was covered in emeralds and diamonds.
"How does it look?" Valerian asked Gerald.
"It looks fine to me Your Majesty." Gerald replied.
"As I thought, the Royal tailor is really good at this job." Valerian said.
He picked up an emerald and diamond tiara and put it on his head.
"Are you ready your Majesty?" Gerald asked.
"Of course I am." Valerian replied.
"Then I suppose we can go and see the King right now?" Gerald asked.
"Hmm." Valerian muttered and at once the two waltzed out of the bedroom doors and eventually they set out to meet the King.
