Valerian was walking through the halls to the throne room.
He was being accompanied by Alexander as well as a few members of the Royal family.
It had been three months since News of the pregnancy spread and a small lump was starting to develop in place of Valerian's belly.
The people who had gathered in the throne room bowed and curtsied as Valerian moved in Majesty.
He had the spotlight, bearing the heir of the throne in his womb was more than a privilege.
When the two arrived up front, they sat on their thrones and the music was played.
Valerian excited looked at the masses and flashed a smile.
He was adorned in a navy blue dress that was glittering with quartz stones.
His necklace was large and quite heavy and so was his quartz tiara that adorned his head.
"The Priests come to pay homage to the mother of the Nation." The master of ceremonies announced.
With a slow but rather loud percussion and string sound, the instruments were played.
Leading a procession of religious men that represented the six supreme deities of the faith the High Priest walked through the aisle.
Every one looked at the group that was dressed in white and maroon robes as they approached the throne.
Eventually, the leaders stopped and then they bowed down their heads to Valerian and Alexander.
Valerian raised his hand and they responded by rising from where they had knelt on one knee.
"You may come forth." Valerian said.
At once, the leaders began to step forward one by one.
"REIRIER, the goddess of Wisdom and knowledge blesses the child there is to be born." The first priest said.
Valerian bowed his head as the first priest moved away and another followed right after him.
"WANJIYRA, goddess of life, love and healing shall bestow upon this child a heart of gold so strong and a mind so sound." The second priest said.
Valerian bowed his head with a smile and at once, the priest moved away as the third stepped into his position.
"VURGHA, the warrior goddess, Queen of heaven, mother of mothers shall bestow upon this child the spirit of courage.
That no foe shall rise against it and taste no defeat and that if they will it shall be Sovereign of greatness." The third priestess said.
Valerian bowed his head as he had done and the priestess moved away.
A fourth priest came forth.
"CANANDRA, god of the sea shall bestow upon that child the calm of the ocean and the might of its roar." The priest said and stepped away.
Valerian consented and fifth moved forward.
"HEIGIA, god of the earth and sky and father of all that fills them shall bestow upon this child the wealth of nation's.
Unchallenged, unparalleled and unequalled." The fifth priest said and moved aside for the last to have his way.
"JUTORIAN, god of heaven and King of the after life shall bless the soul with abundance of life in this world and the next." The High Priest said.
Valerian then bowed his head finally as the priests and priestess stepped away.
They equally stood on either side of the congregation in the throne room and amidst the murmurs there was another procession.
It came from ministers of the parliament led by the Prime Minister himself and with them, they bore the golden drum beat.
They stopped in front of the Royal couple.
"His Royal Majesty and his Queen." The Prime Minister said as they all bowed in homage.
Alexander raised his Sceptre signalling for them to continue.
"We gathered here acknowledge that the child that shall be born amongst us by our Queen shall inherently have a right to the throne.
Brought forth from the love of the King and a covenant of the gods and of men." The Prime Minister said.
Every one in the whole room then paid their respects as Valerian slowly started to rise from his seat.
He moved forward slowly and then with flowers thrown out in front of them, he decided to walk.
The King followed behind slowly as Valerian moved from the throne room across until he'd reached the balcony.
The majority celebrated following the appearance of their Queen.
"Majesty and pomp, poise all on exhibition." The Queen mother said.
"Of god and of men, the Scolns really never change." Prince Alfred said.
The Royals and the ministers followed out of the throne room shortly after the Queen.
Valerian looked at the masses that had gathered spreading further through a very long distance.
"They are happy." Valerian said.
"For their Queen who possesses their future." Alexander said.
"They really do love me so much." Valerian said.
"Than any one else could have ever imagined." Alexander said.
Valerian sighed feeling the weight of thousands of gazes on him.
"Wave unto them, give them your presence and let them smile at you." Alexander whispered.
Valerian raised his right hand and then started to wave in a distance.
At once, the Scoln flags in the possession of the masses started to fly.
"The people love a Crown that is quite popular." Queen Marietta said to Prince Alfred.
"And they hate one that is infamous." Prince Alfred added.
After Valerian was done, he returned inside to a massive buffet.
Many of those that had gathered royals minor and major and distinguished Noble men and women as well as ministers smiled.
They congratulated the Royal couple and kissed and shook the hands of the King and Queen.
"You have really grown up so much." One of the Duchesses and Alexander's grand Aunt said to him.
"Thank you Mrs. Fresworth." Alexander said.
"The Queen is worth more than a fortune of the world." Another Duchess said.
"Yes Lady Mary." Alexander said.
"It will be a pity though, is it a boy or a disappointment?" The Queen mother whispered to Valerian.
Valerian kept his smile casual as he threateningly walked up to his mother in law.
"We shall know as soon as the baby is born." Valerian confidently whispered.
"I only hope that this time you shall be more careful with my grand child.
Alexander would be angry if you got reckless over this pregnancy like you did with the first." The Queen mother said.
"Don't worry, he shall take good care of me until that final hour." Valerian said.
"Now if you'd excuse me I have a couple of more important guests to tend to." Valerian added.
At once, he waltzed away to another group of Male Duchesses.
"He can be so full of himself sometimes, he really is a pain in the neck." Prince Alfred said.
"I know it, that damned idiot Valerian." Queen Marietta scowled.
"Apparently, if this child is born, all the better he will be more popular amongst the people." Prince Alfred said.
"Nothing we can't do about it." Queen Marietta said.
"With the stress that he mounts his head I highly doubt that pregnancy will survive long." Queen Marietta added.
"What possible way is there for the both of us to make the two break up?" Prince Alfred asked as he turned to the Queen mother and looked at her.
"I think we'd better sneak to our initial plan and we'll slowly watch as that popularity slowly starts to crumble." The Queen mother replied.
She wore an evil smile on her face loudly spelling out a warning.
A glance that the Queen Valerian saw in particular directed in his direction.
