270. The Death of Lu Li

The story's plot was bound to come true, but sometimes there was a chance to turn things around.

For example, Lu Li was attacked by Sara and was forced to strike Aileen before; the word "smash toward" rather than "smash on" appeared in the plot.

But now it has happened.

A prayer-like, sharp whisper echoed through his mind. Darkness, devoid of any light, engulfed Lu Li. He lost control over his body, as if an observer, witnessing the sharp shovel swing, severing the slowly falling fishing line, smashing on the legs of Aileen, who had been dragged out only several dozen centimeters by Anna.

Like a hot knife through butter, the Baron's legs and the mud beneath her were cut through by the falling pitch-black shovel.

The surging blood was quickly washed away by the rain, forming streams in the puddles that extended into the distance.

A pained grunt came from the curtain of rain, transforming into an unbearable moan of agony.
