Chapter 25: We meet again.

Qin Qianyu went to the meeting spot where the Lu Family had arranged the last time.

This evening she would meet a friend of Lu Li's that he wanted to have checked by her.

She hoped that this guy would be more generous and less gross as the last two of the three clients she had scheduled in between that time and now.

One of the two clients she met with was a woman that wanted her hymen fixed because she was about to marry soon.

Qin Qianyu only sighed and told the woman that she needs to tell her husband to be the truth not surgery and definitely not her, and left it at that.

The other client was a guy who wanted help with a serious itch which turned out to be a sexual disease that he had gotten while playing abroad.

It was truly nasty.

She told him it's better to go to specialist for his problem. She could have done so herself but it just grossed her out too much when the guy dropped his pants in front of her.

She gave him a prescription to deal with the itching but the blister like bumps he had, it was better to see someone that specialised in that area for antibiotics for that particular problem.

She also left it at that and made changes to her online advertisement stating she's AOC, meaning she'd be away on consignment and wouldn't be returning to the area until further notice.

The third one will be the tomorrow night and she hoped that them and Lu Li's friend will be more like Lu Mingyu, easy to diagnose, easy to treat, easy money for her.

She let out a light sigh and waited for the Lu family driver to pick her up.

When he arrived, Qin Qianyu walked straight to the back and sat there in absolute silence. Her mood wasn't particularly good and it showed.

She saw the driver refused to use his rear view mirror and then her mind started wandering to that night a few days back when she inadvertently frightened the living daylights out of the poor man.

A lithe smile appeared on her face.

Recalling this lifted her mood some and soon enough they arrived at the Lu Mansion.

When she walked towards the front entrance, Lu Li and both of his daughters came to greet Qin Qianyu.

"Lady Phantom Fox, we meet again. Thank you for what you did for my Mingyu. Let's speak some more over tea. Please do come in."

"Benefactor, I am Lu Mingyu. Firstly thank you for helping me, both my Father and little Sister spoke highly of you, secondly . . "

"Big Sister Phantom Fox, you're here! Haha please come sit."

Lu Mingyu didn't get to finish what she wanted to say as she was interrupted by her younger sister.

Lu Mingyu had wanted to thank Qin Qianyu for the other treatments she gave to both girls. Sensing this seemed to embarrass Lu Mingxi a little which was why she did what she did.

Qin Qianyu nodded and thanked everyone in turn for the warm welcome.

"I had asked my friend to come earlier but something unexpected occurred so he'd be arriving a little later, I do apologise for this Lady Phantom."

"It's fine, since he hasn't arrived yet let's talk about your daughter."

The mood suddenly turned heavy as Lu Li nodded seriously. He retrieved the data sheet and test results and handed them both over to Qin Qianyu.

She didn't read them straight away and spoke about what Mingyu remembered ingesting and who she was with.

Lu Li nodded and told her the conclusions. Other than close girlfriends she hadn't met with another male other than her driver.

"And he didn't do anything?"

"That's right, the drivers and close staff that are signed on to work for us are forbidden from giving or receiving foods and drinks and we have a family rule between us not to ingest anything given to us by them or strangers while outside also."

Qin Qianyu nodded. She then turned to Mingyu and asked,

"Were any of the people you met prior to falling ill, related to anyone in the medical field?"

"Ah, I'm not sure I'll have to investigate more, I don't think so? But dad probably knows more."

Mingyu says as she turned to her father. When she had told him everything she knew, he could only think that a wait staff could have been bribed.

He turned to Qin Qianyu and gave a report of his findings so far.

"Well the results from Jing are inconsistent with the findings from the other hospital we went to, I've sent some people to quietly enquire about Mingyu's matter over at Jing Hospital."

Qin Qianyu nodded it was as she suspected, the results from Jing Private Hospital had been tampered with.

She then checked the results of the hormone human chorionic gonadotropin and Gram staining.

"Well it's good that you aren't pregnant at least, which means you hadn't been taken advantage of,"

"But the Gram staining is worrying, the positive bacteria reading is high and so is the negative bacteria. Several of these bacterial species can be found in many types of diseases."

Lu Li nodded. Qin Qianyu's words was exactly what the specialist had told him. They then took more samples of Lu Mingyu's blood post treatment and found she was cured with the offending bacteria flushed out of her system.

They only told the doctor and staff that it was due to the work of a TCM practitioner that the family had sorted advice from that not only cured the girl but also recommended them to do the test.

When the Lu family had heard from the doctor about the harmful bacteria that was present in her blood samples they were all scared. But, after conducting several follow up test they found that all the harmful bacterial had been removed leaving only the good bacteria where they should be.

The doctor was surprised and surmised that the TCM doctor was very knowledgeable and well versed in both modern and traditional medicine.

"The person that made the drug seems to be experimenting with them as a source to culture certain antibodies or perhaps to create a certain system for delivery, targeting the bacterias behaviour and sending the drug through the same routes the bacteria would attach themselves to?"

There were several bacteria noted aimed at the nerves, certain organs, even bones.

These were Qin Qianyu's conjectures after she diagnosed Lu Mingyu and reading the updated report from a different hospital.

"Well, I can only provide medical feedback, for everything else, I'll leave it to you."

"Mhm, what you've done is far more than what you needed to do. So thank you very much."

"No problem, oh before I forget. Here these are for you. Please don't give them to Lu Mingyu let her finish the course she's currently on first. And then only use them for when the body is totally exhausted."

Qin Qianyu gave over two bottles of the 5 form pills after giving an explanation on its usage and what benefits they provide the user.

"Thank you Lady Phantom, don't worry I'll make sure Mingyu returns to her healthy self first and foremost before anything else."

Suddenly the four were interrupted by a phone call, the caller was the friend of Lu Li, he explained that he wouldn't be able to attend their meeting, Lu Li didn't tell him it was the doctor that treated Lu Mingyu and that he wanted her to look him over he just accepted the apology and reason before hanging up the call.

"Sorry Lady Phantom, it seems I've wasted your time. My friends daughter bought her boyfriend to check him over and it looks like they're heading to the hospital to confirm some things."

Qin Qianyu nodded, she accepted that there would be several "no shows" and many more like her two other clients with more "dollars than sense" when operating and moonlighting like so.

She still made a killing though with that one nights work so she wasn't really worried. Now that she has some disposable income at hand she can now start her own small empire for her and her family to enjoy.

"No problem Mr Lu, it happens, so no need to worry about me. At least it wasn't worst than my last two clients I had before coming here. Besides you should really concentrate your efforts into finding the culprit behind your daughter's attack."

Lu Li nodded, the look on Lu Mingyu's face changed a little to knowing that her father was going to investigate her girlfriends as well.

Qin Qianyu picked up on this and mentioned,

"Even though you don't feel good suspecting your girlfriends, for your own and your family's safety, it's best to steel your heart for that moment. In saying that, you can't dismiss the possibility that if a friend did have something to do with the poisoning, it could be that they were doing so unwittingly. They're being used without their knowledge so bear that in mind."

Qin Qianyu then turned to Lu Li and continued,

"As a precautionary measure, don't let anyone know that Mingyu has been cured until you have to or when the culprit has been found out and caught. Being overly cautious is better than preparing for a funeral."

Those last words hit everyone. Qin Qianyu's timely reminder was much needed as they all let their guard down because Lu Mingyu was better.

But now thinking about the harmful effects of the drug that Lu Mingyu had inadvertently taken left them all solemn and a little scared.

Lu Li nodded and excused himself. He asked his daughters to entertain Qin Qianyu while he organised her transport back.

With just the three girls in the hall Qin Qianyu who had been observing Lu Mingxi since she arrive at the Lu resident couldn't help but ask.

"You seem much happier than the last time I saw you. You seem like a completely different person."

Lu Mingxi turned bright red, she hung her head low before firing off quickly.

"Ah it's because I have my period now, it's the best it's ever been since I started having them and the cramps are there still but it's not how the were before your treatment, they were very vicious and made me irritable and moody."

Again it was as she had suspected, Lu Mingxi's entire character and mood had changed for the better over the span of two days.

The chemical imbalance that had been taking place within her due to the overly heavy and painful ovulation has now been fixed leading to a more balanced young woman, physically and mentally.

She just smiled, and nodded, she started wondering how Lu Li and Lu Mingxi especially would react if they knew her true identity as Qin Qianyu.

"Would you still be as cordial I wonder?"

Meanwhile in another part of the suburbs that the Lu family resided in a young woman aged in her 20s called out,

"Father why are you taking so long, let's go quickly Gu Ping has already given you an examination. Let's go to the hospital and get a more comprehensive examination done there, it's the only way I'll feel relieved."

"Yes, yes I'm coming, I just called Brother Lu, he was wanting to meet up with me at his home this evening. I just called him in order to cancel our engagement."

"Alright Father I'll message Uncle Lu and give him an apology as well. So let's go."

The young woman turned to the man standing by her side and added shyly,

"Brother Ping thank you for looking at my father for me, I really didn't know your were such a famous doctor."

"It's not a problem shell we get going?"

"Mhm,"

The girl linked her arm with the man Gu Ping as the trio headed to the waiting vehicle.

If Qin Qianyu were to see this man, she'd know that he was the doctor that had made a bet with her at Shenlong.

Gu Ping watched on as his girlfriends father entered the luxury car. His eyes flashed with a certain look then returned to his previous self as he entered the car last.

"Jing hospital is really good, I've already called ahead letting them know our intentions."

"Okay."

The middle aged man said with indifference in his voice. The only reason he was willing to tolerate this young man his daughter was smitten with was because he had a small connection to one of the leaders of the famed Four Winds namely the commander of the Azure Dragon Team.

Although it was third hand information he got from his daughter, Duan Weiwei, at the time it sounded like he was just bragging to impress her and the people around them.

He was right, Gu Ping was bragging. Gu Ping just didn't count on Duan Mu hearing so from his daughter to which he then passed on the information about Qin Qianyu to Lu Li.

When the incident with Lu Mingyu happened Lu Li used all possible means to find any trace of Qin Qianyu's contact details which he finally got after paying a hefty sum.

Qin Qianyu chatted with the Lu sisters, while Lu Li sorted out her ride back. They soon ended up showing Qin Qianyu around the house and somehow ended up in Lu Mingxi's room.

After spending this short time talking with them she found that they all shared similar interests.

It's truly a pity that Qin Qianyu and Lu Mingxi had met in such an unfortunate manner.

She thought that they could have been really good friends at school.

When the trio were leaving the room Qin Qianyu caught something in the corner of her eye. Surprised, she saw the letter that she had written while at the police station framed on Lu Mingxi's wall.

"That's an odd thing to frame!"

Qin Qianyu muttered. She looked to Lu Mingxi and saw a resignation of the playfulness that were previously in her eyes.

"Ah, I framed that the day after I got it. It's a reminder for me."

"A reminder?"

"It's to remind me that I'm such an evil, horrible person. I did something terrible to Qin Qianyu, she's a girl from my school, the girl named in that letter right there."

"Oh, okay,"

The mood dropped a bit, Qin Qianyu could sense remorse coming from Lu Mingxi.

Her big sister ruffled her hair and added,

"I've been telling you for over a month that I would go and talk to her on your behalf but everytime I bring it up you've always stop me."

Lu Mingxi let out a stuttering sigh before she aptly replied,

"It's because I should be the one doing it in person. The one that hurt Qin Qianyu that day was me. Dad may have paid the compensation but I haven't given her my compensation along with the apology she deserves."

"Well several other factors played a part in what you did. There was that Meimei girl who tricked and goaded you, Me! As well. I had no idea that my feelings and pent up frustrations had found their way into your heart and then there's your period too. It was at its peak then if I remember clearly, so,"

Hearing all this, Lu Mingxi subconsciously looked at Qin Qianyu standing there. She was reminded of what she had told her that night got she treat Lu Mingyu.

"Haha, like that's an excuse! You've suffered the same as me, but did you go crazy and try to hurt another person because of your period pains!? I was told a couple of days ago that I shouldn't use excuses, especially to excuse my own bad behaviour, so I won't. In the end it may be better for Qin Qianyu's well-being and piece of mind if I just follow what she asked of me through that letter and leave her alone."

The three girls went quiet after that, and only came out of their individual thoughts after Lu Li called for them saying that the vehicle for Qin Qianyu was ready.
